Oops I was logged in under the wrong name Tried it again now (Mon p.m. here in Thailand) still crashes, did not contact support - I was just using Logos on Windows (which doesn't have that problem for me).
-
I've tried 4-5 of my layouts and once it didn't crash for me but did for the others. Have used Logos heavily since 2010 and this hasn't happened before. macOS Sierra 10.12 Logos 6.13 0741.LogosLogs.scottgroethe.20160812-130400.zip
-
In other programs when they fail, I get a side-by-side configuration error 6712.Logos Log Files.zip
-
I am using the Logos one now but this one http://lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu/daily.php?year=C is different. Rather than only have one, why not keep the current one and add this one. Acc. to the website, it is from the CCT (Consultation on Common Texts) and the Logos one says it is as well. Not sure why they are different. Since (found this in

I have my default font set to Leelawadee UI, FYI, but I've run the test on Arial and Times New Roman. About 2-3 months ago after one of the updates, I noted all my notes in 10 point being much larger. I tried a few things but didn't spend much time on it. Then today I tried again, using 12, 11, 10, 9, in three different fonts. I didn't see a difference

On the other hand, $500 a year for doing the monthly classes, sure you have to select from what's offered in a given month, but that's a bargain.
-
Mark isn't this an overreaction? I don't know the system for sending bugs but did you read where I said that 99.9% of the time there is no problem, I use periods every day in different notes files for thousands of notes. Not being a geek and computer head, I thought maybe it was a Psa 31-32 problem in the NLT text.
-
No one here probably believes me but I had this problem a few hours ago, typed various lines then hovered or clicked, did it on Windows Logos and then Mac Logos and it was the same problem, Psa 31.9-16 pointed to Psa 32.9ff. But it is ok now. I should probably take a screenshot next time.
-
Mark, I've been doing these notes for a few years, thousands of them in a number of note files, always with a period. I use NLT every day. It works 99.9 percent of the time, but a couple of times it has pointed to the wrong location. Switched to LEB as default Bible, then back to NLT and now no problem.
-
Mine is ok now, but I'm telling you it was giving me the wrong Psalm on two platforms today. Perhaps switching the default Bible to LEB then back to NLT did the trick, not a programmer so no idea. But I try not to post problems unless I have them twice. This was not the first time that the NLT in a note pointed to the wrong target. But I hope this is
-
I switched to the LEB and it worked as it should - so you're right about it being an NLT issue -thanks a lot My NLT is 2013 6th ed.
-
I just did it again, Logos 6 on a Mac this time, last time was on a PC Typed Psa 31 hovering and clicking went to the top of the psalm incl superscription Psa 31.1 to verse 1 Psa 31.9 to verse 9 Psa 31.9-16, it went to verse 9 but in Psa 32 total headscratcher
-
Logos is still booting up so I have to wait to try. I'm going to try on a Mac this time. Thanks for taking the time.

NLT
-
Sorry, mistyped it in the body of the text, but the problem, yes, it's there in Psa 31
-
If I type Psa 31 and add a space then click on it, it brings me to the top of the psalm including superscription as expected. Type Psa 31.1 and it goes to 1 Type Psa 31.9 and it goes to 9 Type Psa 31.9-16 (as in today's reading for the daily RCL) and it goes to 32.9 I've reproduced it twice and don't understand the problem Using windows 10, Logos 6

I tend to work in narrow columns, even on a 21 inch monitor. Whereas other Bibles (ESV, NLT, etc.) will end up (when columns set to none) about 1/4 of an inch from the edge of the window, the MSG is about 7/8 of an inch from both right and left. Any way to fix that?

I think LaGard Smith's is the best out there, add my vote to yours

"Notes" was said to be updated, but on the clickable link that comes here, and the latest post here until this one was in 2014.. I noticed fontsize in notes, while it says it's the same, in my case 10 point, it looks like it's 14 point. I wish there was a scale for notes, as in the settings you can adjust program scaling. I would like the same for notes

I found the .dic file but when I searched for the word I accedentally flagged as ok, teh, I didn't dare edit the .dic document for fear I'd mess something up. The words don't line up as a neat list like it used to in MS Word, but in my case "teh" had characters before and after and just didn't want to change anything. There has to be an easier way.
