• Re: The future of Logos and Faithlife: Help us make the right decisions!

I really appreciate the transparency with which Bob runs their business, and I understand the need to adjust to changing market conditions. This is going to come across more negative than I intend it, so try to read this generously... I've got well into 5 figures spent with FL (the vast majority on Logos resources), and I have the FL Now subscription

  • Re: Chronological Reading Plan

BenLo, I used this article several years ago to create my own chronological Bible reading plan: https://blog.logos.com/2011/11/logos-4-create-a-chronological-bible-reading-plan/ I believe it will still work, as I've used a similar approach to create my reading plan the last 3 years (though not chronological). All you would need to do is change the content
I have an iPhone and iPad and they sync'd.
Thanks for the reply. Assuming that's the case, I want to (hopefully gently ;) express my extreme disapproval of that design decision. As I've stated elsewhere on this forum for quite a while, the device *IS* a use case. An iPhone form factor is not an iPad form factor (especially

  • Syncing layouts - questions

In the release notes for the most recent iOS mobile release (8.3.0.0051 - downloaded 5/16/2019), it says that layouts will sync for the same operating system. - Does that mean the exact same version of the operating system (e.g. iOS 12.1 will sync to iOS 12.2)? - Does that mean it will sync for the same OS even for different device types (iPhone vs

  • Removing resources from device and Logos install size *increases*?

I took the time yesterday to remove ~2,300 of my 10,300 resources. Then I ran the "rebuild index" command. The size of my Logos folder went from 41GB to 51GB. That's not what I would have expected. :) It doesn't affect me much - I have sufficient disk space. But if that's a consistent possibility, it might surprise others who are trying to reclaim disk

  • Temporary Licenses: Monthly vs FL Connect Features?

I have 154 resources marked with a "Temporary" license in my library. Is there a way to distinguish between temporary licenses that I've gotten at the beginning of each month as a FL Connect subscriber and resources that are required for the features that I get a a FL Connect subscriber. I tag all my resources when they show up, and I have temporary
As I wonder why no one else was complaining ... was it just me?
Definitely not. It seems like every 3-4 point releases, when changes of a certain kind are made to notes, highlights, etc., FL decides to reset everything to "on". It happened with the most recent point release. It happens in mobile, too. If the side effects

Definitely not NCT. It acknowledges the covenant of works at creation. It's well worth reading for the extremely deep exegesis of the use of "berith" (Hebrew: covenant) in the OT. -Donnie

The technical name for those is "nomina sacra". It's a fascinating apologetic point for which books are canonical.

  • Re: Canvas Tool

I think it would be extremely helpful if a few FL folks intensively used BibleArc phrasing, diagramming, arcing, bracketing for a week or so. What takes 15 minutes in BibleArc and is extremely intuitive takes an hour or more in Logos Canvas/Sentence Diagramming. And the result is fragile and hard to later work with. The Logos UI for these tools is fraught
