For the last five years a new English language edition of the Liturgy of the Hours has been almost released. It is still almost released so I anticipate two years at the earliest. Here is an announcement from the USCCB. http://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/liturgy-of-the-hours/liturgy-of-the-hours-second-edition.cfm The Latin is certainly available

On plan I have purchased Marginal Jew (a mont or two ago) and the Peter Kreeft library (today).

The combination of text flush with both margins and a narrow separation between columns makes reading difficult. Is this an editorial error or a limitation of the conversion software? Cut and paste presents the text as one column. Either a vertical bar or an m-space separating columns would be an improvement. Hand editing to distinguish from tables

Looking forward to its release 3/28 per email received today.

EDITOR’S PREFACE Sacra Pagina is a multi-volume commentary on the books of the New Testament. The expression Sacra Pagina (“Sacred Page”) originally referred to the text of Scripture. In the Middle Ages it also described the study of Scripture to which the interpreter brought the tools of grammar, rhetoric, dialectic, and philosophy. Thus Sacra Pagina

Public domain is a political question. Works that would fall into the public domain are prevented from doing so by acts of Congress amending copyright law. Lobbyjng to have everything published before 50 years ago,1968, in the public domain is not unreasonable. I think that much political and religious ignorance is caused by the unavailability of older

Rank is a user supplied zero to five “stars”. I only apply it rarely using the desktop application. I don’t know how it is applied using the iPad app itself. Click on rank and choose a more useful sort, recent or most frequently used.

VERBUM app, IPAD (retina): Thank you. Need to retrain some muscle memory, but I could find my morning devotion, take it in, and then add the next location to favorites list. Locatinag my favorite list didn’t take too long, just the usual problems of a changed user interface. It helps that one of the menus pops straight to my list of favorites. Is this

Thanks. I like the convenience. I appreciate the “you already own this” tags.

Yes, it is normal and expected. The golden goal of pricing is airline ticket pricing. The price paid should be the most that an individual is willing to pay. Just as a seat on a plane to Amman, Jordan, has a different value to different people, so too an electronic book of a given level of quality.

The free book of the Month is different in Verbum and Logos. I can get both. The Verbum now free book uses the same code as the Logos now and the list of choices is the same. searching for “price:0” or sorting books by price (low to high) gives a list of free books anytime, as many as you care for. This works in the Logos Store, but not in the Verbum

Completely ignoring my plan, my purchase after posting this was Collins, Introduction to the Old Testament.
