• Re: iPhone Logos is online!
Is there anything we as users can do to express our interest to the necessary parties?
Not yet. We're just mailing off contract addendums to hundreds of rights holders, and following up by phone, etc. We don't yet know who's going to agree readily and who we'll need to persuade. :-)

I'm really sorry the Mac product isn't completely finished. We'd planned for it to be. For what it's worth, it has a disproportionate number of developers on it -- it's percentage of our dev team is bigger than its percentage of our sales. But they got a late start, since we only shipped the earlier Mac product (built by another company) a year ago

We plan to cancel the pre-pubs for books that hadn't shipped on pre-pub and are now in the collections.

Russ, Thanks for bringing up these points. They're legitimate concerns, and I share many of them, particularly in regards to business and financial information. Some of the beta testers have already accurately given our position: we let you run offline, we are privately held with no intentions of selling, and your data is all stored locally. (In some

  • Re: Tell me it isn't so ... Result map for Bible search results

We redesigned the graph results feature to support multiple maps; we just haven't implemented the others yet. Feel free to suggest specialized layouts -- all we need is a proportionally sized box for each book of the versified resource.

That would be an example of a book we don't have permission to offer over the iPhone yet. (Almost all of the MacArthur books would be in this category.) We're working on securing the rights.

  • Re: How are upgrade prices calculated?

We calculate it based on a number of factors related to your purchase history, including what you've bought in both base packages and pre-pubs. The items in the new collections that were on pre-pub but had not shipped will be taken off the pre-pub program.

Many employees have commented to me how happy and grateful they are that the beta testers are helping provide support on the forums (and in person). It lets us help more people this week!

We don't have a list available yet; we'll have some way of indicating iPhone compatibility in the future. (Probably an indicator on the book's page -- a list with thousands of resources could be difficult to read.) What book are you having trouble with?

  • Re: Logos 4 and PDA's

We're working on mobile solutions for platforms beyond the iPhone. While BlackBerry is strong, it does have more different versions, screen sizes, etc. which make it slightly more difficult to develop for. But we're looking to have some type of functionality for as many mobile devices as possible.

The Interlinear button in the ESV is the new home of the reverse interlinear. Just click a word in the surface text to center it in the reverse interlinear panel below. In response to beta user feedback, we're working to offer an alternate "full screen" view like we used in Logos 3; for now it's done at the bottom of the window. It's different, but

For what it's worth, I think that the upgrades to collections that we're offering with Logos 4 are just about the best value we've ever offered. You'll get a tremendous amount of new content for a great price. With the collection discount stacked on the upgrade discount, you're getting an incredible deal on a lot of books.

We have extended staffing hours from 6 am to 9 pm pacific for this month, brought in temporary help, and we're catering lunch for the team. We've got developers stationed in the technical support department and we're "all hands on deck". Sorry that the lines are busy, but we're working as hard as possible to serve everyone!
