  • Re: E.W. Bullinger's Companion Bible Notes

George I am a dispensationalist, but I do not subscribe to the Gap theory. I also am not tied to the AV. I think from what you have written, would you not agree that there are kooks in all groups? Would it not be possible that some might consider you a kook? Some might even say you are arrogant or ignorant. Some might say of you "much learning has made

George, can we get a definition of what a kook is? I am a dispensationalist so apparently I am a kook. Just wondering if you or anyone else could shed light on the word so I can understand myself a bit better. thanks in advance Mark

  • Community Pricing

Some Titles in community pricing are close to going over the top. The more people bid, the lower the prices go. This is to encourage all to check on the titles and bid. http://www.logos.com/communitypricing

[quote user="George Somsel"] There are two articles which might be of interest in the Christian Computing Magazine this month. One is on cloud computing which has been mentioned at least once or twice here (which I have not yet read) and the other is on portable apps. I found the concept of portable apps intruiging. Put it on a USB drive and take it

  • Re: Why transfer fees?

Yes, John, I am in agreement also with your post. Thanks Bob for clarifying the case. It would be nice if what you stated could not only be found on the forum, but also made clear in an article on the website. I say this because a year or two from now, it may be difficutl to find the post where Bob answers the transfer question.

You all seem to miss the point. On the homepage there are links to Logos blogs. This is a suggestion forum...the suggestion is to also add a link to the forum. Yes one can create custom toolbars...but most users will never understand how to do that. My idea was a suggestion. Logos can think it good or bad. It is for them to decide. Nothing more needs

For instance I purchased Anchor Commentary recently and I was faced with either or. I inquired if I could choose download thereby giving me access to the files immediately and then spend the $5.00 for a disc as

  • Re: Why transfer fees?

I agree as well. Because at the moment, the only safe format seems to be pdf format. I am disturbed by the downloadable book issue. If I had known that, I would never have opted for downloadable books. I dont even understand the issue of why downloadable books are in a different category as the same material being sent to you on a CD

  • Re: Why transfer fees?

Bob's answer does not look like an official policy nor does it seem adequate enough to be an official policy. From what I get from his past post, when I die or retire, I can give my entire library to my wife or a child for a fee that is 10% of the retail value. If I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of books at prepub prices, I cannot imagine

Yes, you are right. I have a shortcut also which works perfectly. The suggestion was to have a link in Libronix. We all have lots of links to lots of different places and in the future I suspect we will have even more links. Favorite folders are created for that reason. So what is easy begins to get a bit more time consuming to locate, find, click.

A link does not need to be on the homepage. It could be on the tool bar...it could open up in the Libronix window or it could open up the browser that one uses...

Well, history is history. When a company grows and gets very big...they begin to lose the the very things that caused so many to be attracted to them. I can see the old time prophets of the past years gearing up with their "i told you so' follow up messages. What we all want is to be sure our investment is not going to disappear with new technology

  • Re: Why transfer fees?

I agree that it is necessary for Bob to respond. It would be good if on the website there was an actual policy written up. This IS an issue. Paper books get inherited by children or church library or to friends. Libronix books I hope also to pass onto my child or children if possible...or if no children...obviously I would want to will it to someone
