Back in those days, it may have been for CD Word which is the library that Logos bought as the core of their program. Logos 1.6 to Logos 2.0 to Libronix 3.0 to Logos 4. Same company through the years.

  • Re: Suggestion: Add more scholarly theological journals to the Theological Journal Library (or as stand-alones, or another bundle)
Anyway, even conservative evangelicals have learned a lot from liberal scholarship and we'd be stupid to shun it completely.
"Liberals" are much more rigorous with the text and make lots of great observations. Their problems stem not from observation, but from interpretation of what they have observed.

  • Re: Can I change the location where my resources are stored?

Another option would be to use Windows search function to find files with the ".logos4" extension. Search for "*.logos4".

Have you tried making a layout that does not include the home page? Maybe with the search page and your preferred bible?

Search for the thread titled "License change?". The short of it is that Logos is licensed for use by one person, not one computer, not one user at a time.
Are you saying or suggesting that the E4 resources are not reliable...they have been edited? This is potentially troubling and may cause me to want to remove those resources from my library.
Read his message carefully. He was quoting E4. He was not commenting on the quality of their work. Those are E4's words. You would

  • Re: The smartest Bible Scholars you've ever met

Dan, May I humbly suggest you consider someone with a Library Science degree to work in cataloguing so we can have a standardization of authors' names (how many ways does MacArthur's name show up 11? and some others are not even last, first, middle) and Titles, Series, etc.

  • Re: How do I transfer my own extra Logos books from Logos 3 to 4?

I have 46 Logos 2.0 resources in the old dual-file (*.lix & *.lsf) format which Logos 4 automatically imported from my LDLS 3 resource folder. The older files don't have all of the information as the newer file types (book cover photo) and the NASB comes up as monograph rather than Bible, but it opens up just fine.

  • Re: Logos 4 & Pre-1995 NASB

Given that the Logos 2 resource (NASB.lix & NASB.lsf) was not converted to LDLS format (*.lbxlls), I doubt it will be converted to L4 format (*.LOGOS4). My guess would be that the Lockman Foundation wants people to have their latest translation, not an older version.

  • Re: Is Collins Cobuild Pronunciation compatible with LOGOS 4

Van Til was rebuilt with all of the audio files embedded in one resource. The Logos hymnal also has the audio files embedded. I believe the Nelson LifeWork titles which included audio files are accessed from various Nelson homepages. As those hompages are not available in L4, I am not sure how those audio files are opened from within L4.

  • Re: Which to get???

It depends on your area of study or interests. In general, the largest library you can afford, while expensive, has the lowest cost per resource. Do you need original language resources to do your own in depth study? Do you prefer to work only in English? Are you looking for an academic library? Or a pastor's library? Or a layman's library?
Sorry Don, I'm lost concerning the "junction point" you mentioned. How is that done?
I use a freely downloadable program called "Junction Link Magic". First make a new folder and move the resource files from the default location to the new folder. Then use "Junction Link Magic" to identify the original directory
