I have that resource in Logos and am glad I do. It should be updated, but the existing content isn't out of date. I just used it a few days ago in counseling.
It out of date in that it is not up to date with questions and revisions to answers that have occurred since 2014 and one can access through the website or app as

Many years ago, Logos ran a topical bible search page called ‘What Does the Bible say?’ or something to that effect. These days the go to site is gotquestions.org - They do have a resource in Logos format but looks like the content hasn’t been updated for 6 years. https://www.logos.com/product/6623/got-questions-bible-questions-answered

  • Re: Who knew Logos suggests best books, courses etc via guides?

These sort of guides in one form or another have been around on the logos site in one form or another for many years. It would be good if they disclosed how they determine what makes it onto these list. The best advice I can offer is look for feedback from multiple sources.

  • Re: Kindle App vs Logos App

It's not so much that the Logos app is missing page numbers but rather its a design choice to approach page numbering differently to the Kindle app. Faithlife stick to the traditional page numbering and you can see those in the Logos app if the book has page numbers. Another design choice is Faithife do not include page numbers in books they publisher

  • Re: Mobile vs Web app

Different apps for different needs. Mobile app orginated many years ago(and has been improved over time). Web app is relatively new in comparision. Mobile app has the screen size of phone users in view in partiular while the web app is focused on devices which offer a much larger screen.

  • Kudos to Faithlife improved Speed to Market... A book ahead of it's time.

August 2020 free e-book of the month is ahead of it's time, not due for publication till the year 3006 yet FL has managed to get it into our libraries in 2020.
Can Logos do transcripts for these courses? There is nothing different from what Udemy offers and what Logos offers.
I look at his material and judge the things he says in each it on its merits rather than taking a blanket attitude towards his writings but would not purchase these course from FL without transcripts

  • Re: NASB PARAGRAPH VERSION

I was just listening to how Panama they have imposed gender based quarantine measures which cause confusion amongst those who identified as transgender or gender free - this is the real mess in the world we live that is happening right now - not the rubbish you two want to drum up over past events that have been dealt with and adds no value to anyone

  • Re: Kudos for something I haven't appreciated in the past

Logos is not all that dependent for ongoing use upon the internet once you download and install. it works fine without internet access. You can do your bible study perfectly fine without it. Sure some features don’t work but they don’t prohibit the usage of the software or doing bible study.
I'm not a huge fan of Logos

I understand all that, never said they weren't transparent and I'm not asking them to discuss contract negotiations. The impression I got was FL was working on overhauling the e-book system for sometime this year to meet the publishers requirements and I'm simply asking if FL are still doing this, not even asking for a date, just asking are they still

And when did FL say they would have this sorted out. Or have they put it in the too hard basket. An official update on would be nice on whether they are still working on this or no.

Ah.. Zondervan ebook, then : "Unable to distribute ___ to your country."
yep.
Never use it so had not thought of that as an option. Good suggestion MJ.
The Sermon editor works fairly well for this.
• Re: Is there Bible study maker in Logos?

Many, many years ago I believe Logos Research Systems published a stand-alone ”Lesson Maker” software application, I forget the actual name. Faithlife as they are called these days do not. The closest we had was “handouts” but it was not really of the same calibre and FL did not put the resources into it so it fell by the wayside

Martin you are correct in your statement but that is not the issue Donnie is raising. He is talking about a major flaw in the design of highlighting on the mobile app. 1. Select some text (with the intent to apply a highlight) and the menu below appears. 2. Click on highlight menu option and screen below appears. Great, I can choose the highlight style
