I likewise thought Portofolio was way too high and so I went with Platinum.
Platinum would only cost me $232. However there is only $100 of stuff I'd want in that package. There are only 26 items I'd get in the upgrade. Some are sets or collections so the number of works is much larger than that.
The Portfolio is safe from me.
Yes, from me too. I can't imagine spending $2,180 for Logos resources and not ending up with the ICC or some other really incredible stuff. For me the dollars and what I'd get for them simply don't add up at all. In fact as I look at what I'd even want in the Portfolio offering I don
I started doing a similar comparison and came to the same conclusion.
Not to rain on this happy parade, but I did not find much of anything of substance in Platinum that I would get for an upgrade. I have much of the truly solid stuff already and for the upgrade price could not justify the expense. Glad others have

Once you convert using DEVONthink - then what do you do with the file to import it into Libronox in order that it shows up in the Library list?
I think Donovan is referring to using a second stand-alone program to gather and allow searching of his other documents

Pastor Thomas Black's web site www.stilltruth.com has a large selection of PBB (Personal Book Builder) files for downloading. These can give you an idea of what can be accomplished through this approach. Here's a link to the page: http://www.stilltruth.com/page/libronix_pbb_files As I recall, PBBs have very limited functionality as one cannot tag much

John, I am surprised that the NIC did not include the Serial Resource Association file that would have done this. You can set up your own quite easily. Go to Tools|Library Management|Define Resource Associations. When the window opens be sure the radio button for 'Serial' is selected then select 'New'. When that new window opens name the association

Francis, I do not recall the answer to your first question. I'm sure I've heard it but don't recall what it was. The answer to the second question is no. I believe the addition of the reverse interlinears in 3.0 obviated the sense of need for this, thought I still use the feature in the NT.
Checkout all the titles that are on pre-pub now including the Expositors which is an excellent commentary for a lay person!
Expositors is a good recommendation. It is more expository than Tyndale. The two together would be a nice set for many lay persons. The price for Expositors makes this extra compelling.

The Tyndale is a good set with almost no application. It is exegetical not expositional. There are still quite a few volumes from the original series, but many replacements and revisions have been made in recent years. You will not find all the latest theories addressed in these volumes, but that really isn't their purpose. They are meant to be compact
