Kevin, I think the issue is Zondervan losing money not Logos. As I stated earlier, Bob P has said most of their customers don't buy extra books beyond their initial purchase. So, not much of a win for Logos on that front. As for Zondervan who is paying for the development costs will be the one losing financially by offering a deep discount. By the way

Logos could still sell these resources if they wanted to. The original problem was WJK wanted to raise the royalty price they were paid to a point Logos thought they couldn't make a profit. I believe they had to commit to a certain amount of copies for a renewal of the license agreement, or something like that. Logos figured they had sold the majority

I bought Zondervan's NIDOTTE/NIDNTTE twice now and the EBC three times, each time no reasonable upgrade was offered. It was cheaper to buy new from and online retailer! Zondervan didn't even offer to update book files when known errors were fixed. These three titles are important enough to me that I will pay (whatever Logos decides) once more for them

I have had a long and painful relationship with Zondervan ever since it started to sell software since the early 1990's. Every update of the platform required the user to essentialy to repurchase the product all over again. Zondervan's "upgrade Price" was higher than purchasing the product new from an online retailer. I was never a happy Zondervan user

It seems that when Logos rebuilds files from the old two file format that they haven't always used that opportunity to add page numbers and other taqgging. For instance R C Sproul works that were just rebuilt still has about half of his books without page numbers, The same goes for the older volumes of the IVP NT Commentary Series. For me Page numbers

I was wondering if Logos was going to update Hodge's' Systematic Theology to link to the Apostolic Fathers and Thomas Aquinas Summa. It seems that there are a number of important works that need updated tagging from the early day's of Logos's book making. Hodge's work was orginally taged in 1999. My question is basically this, is there a plan to update

If you're talking about the original Christian History product, they all had the complete magazine content with all the pictures, graphics and timelines included. If you're talking about the "New Updated" product all you get is the text with out the graphics and timelines the text is referring to. I noticed the "new" time line is a list of events listed

I too have the older Logos 2.1 version of the Christian History resource, and I can tell you this, without the pictures, graphics and timelines the usefullness of this product has bee cut by more than half for me. I was apalled to fine my "updated" files gutted of the features that i have come to love. Perhaps the publisher has put this restraint on

I have 6,973 Libronix titles unlocked and 605 PBB's for a total of 7,578 books. I have deleted PBB's that have come out in Libronix format and also various older versions of BHS and NA26 that Logos has produced through the years. Bobby T

I was under the impresssion that logos did not charge for the transfer of titles in the begining, but it was labor intensive for customer service and felt they needed to charge something for the service. My personal feeling is that there need to be a fair way to sell books no longer wanted or needed, after all we paid good money for them. If we are
