Its possible - though I have no knowledge if it is the case or not - that it was removed in response to comments similar to those at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/129662.aspx?PageIndex=1
A dismiss button would’ve been fine 👍😁👌 Oh well, poor Todd!

Thanks! That’s a great temporary fix. I don’t mind accessing it that way, but there was a time when it would just show automatically; especially, when you were looking at a product. Thanks again! I’ll stick to this for now. DAL

  • Re: One Volume Commentaries

I just added the NIB One Volume Commentary to my one volume commentary collection; except I had to add it to my Accordance Bible Software, since Logos doesn't sell it. I also have their New Interpreter's Study Bible which I bought a while ago. They seem to be different resources but from the same NIB family. The one volume commentary is not an abridged
I would buy 1 Corinthians by Fee. The best treatment of this challenging epistle. You don’t need to agree with all his conclusions but you’ll understand why he chose as he did.
Gordon Fee is a delight to read! You're reading, but it's like he was actually there talking to you. He's definitely got a unique
I’d like to get only one commentary, too, but I can’t decide. Moo’s Romans (2nd edition) or Bruce’s Acts commentary? Isn’t the Acts commentary a bit outdated? Which one do you prefer?
Bruce is dated. Get Bock or Peterson on Acts. They are more up-to-date than Bruce's commentary. Bock is number
I'd like to ask if anyone would comment on 'why do scholars often use seemingly ambiguous language' in regard to Christology / Divinity? Is it to keep with an objective tone? More importantly, McKnight's Colossians commentary, what does he have to say about Paul's demonology in his commentary? Specifically the use of political

Paul, super thanks 🙏 brother! Turns out I own the previous version! You just saved me some money 💴 One of the cons of having 13k + resources. You kind of don’t really know what all you have. DAL

Well, a simple call got me a good discount 👍😁👌 Now it’s part of my library! Not so in depth, but good for quick reference for my screen cast YouTube videos.
What does it say about the divinity of Christ in McKnight's commentary?
He says Jesus is God/Divine: GOD173 James’ theology appears to be ordinary, Jewish, and Christian. Thus, the quintessential Jewish belief is found in this letter: there is one God (2:19) and that God is the Lawgiver (4:11). Also typically Jewish
I have the 5 Solas series and I really like it. I haven't read it in entirety but it is very information dense and makes its arguments straight from scripture. If it pops up in march madness I would recommend it :-)
I bought them all for $9.99! I don’t think MM 2020 will do better, price wise 👍😁👌

We need more books by Michael F. Bird; especially, What Christians Ought to Believe. The video lectures are on prepub, but the book is not available in Logos. This would be a great addition to our libraries. DAL
Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into getting this for Logos.
Thanks!
