Viewing a .pdf text in preview, if scanned as text and not as a picture, file can be exported to Word.docx format, from which a personal book can be created in Logos. (Thank you Logos for this feature!). Shalom, y'all !

  • Re: All Mac Users — Please Help

Since you wrote "all Mac Users" I will reply with a "hybrid" answer. [Windows on Mac]. I bought a 2015 13" MBP (still going good, all day battery) when Mac changed to Intel chips allowing Windows to run in a virtual machine - e.g., VMWare Fusion. I was asked, "Why would you want to run Win on Mac?" Because of familiarity, and being a slow learner. It

  • Re: How does off-line use interact with on-line use?

Over the years I've 'lost' some important notes / lessons, some of which could never be reconstructed. I would like to offer a different perspective. If something is truly important, don't rely on something outside - keep it on one device, and when going mobile, take a copy with you. If necessary DATE each version, for example as: 20220409.0800.7.U

  • Re: Bible Reading Plan 2022

This is an excellent question, to which I hope to give a solid answer. Back in my denomination days I did a life group for a year I called “ Chronies and GenRevs .” One could decide to read from Gen to Rev, or could follow a chronological plan. This is one of my favs. At year end, many said it was the first time they ever read the complete Scriptures

I just tested - this does not work in notes. The solution would be take notes in 'Pages,' then copy / paste to Notes.

On Mac this works for me: go to System Preferences / Keyboard / Text. At left type word / phrase to be replaced. At right type word / or / phrase replacement. No other app needed. Shalom macOS Big Sur 11.6 - 24" M1 iMac

Go 13" = REGRET (I have the 2015). I do hope to get a 16" eventually. Meanwhile::: I just got the M1 24" iMac (non-touch) with Vesa mount in hope to get a carrier bag to be "mobile." I got the NumPad keyboard - easier with chap & verse numbers, along with both mouse and track pad. This is much better for two open windows / apps. Vesa to be more flexible

I apologize if this site does not work for you. You may have to do a search for: ESV audio download.

This may have 'limited application,' but I hope it may help someone. For those of us using cell phones with data caps for internet, being able to download (once) to the device would be very helpful, and not dependent on "being connected." Because of this I downloaded ESV ( https://download.cnet.com/Audio-Bible-ESV/3000-20414_4-77607416.html ) and when

I don't mean to be "picky," but for the sake of 'accuracy,' the symbol is Hebrew Alef / Greek Omega.

Dear Logos - the links are a terrific idea for which I am very thankful. Compared to the old days of thumbing through many books scattered across a huge desk and trying to find a "link." **MANY** minutes are reduced to a click. However, I found this looking for a solution to "clear all links" - I just did it and might agree with whatever fritzenkrinkle

If this is already mentioned, I apologize. Suggest: 1) Greek audio Read Aloud by Schwandt in an interlinear, e.g. Newberry. 2) Update Greek audio for LXX words with no audio / pronunciation.

Also - I was told if you don't have 2 or 3 backups, you don't (may not) have a back up. It's one thing if you trust 'cloud backup.' If not, for external drives, personally I would have at least 2 different brands, eg Seagate / Toshiba. For sensitive info of others, it's probably best to have it "local." 'Time machine' drives require APFS format. You
