Download the PDF to your computer and link it via File Explorer.
Thanks, Dave. That did the trick. Still not sure why it was not working from browser like web pages do - but my problem is solved. Also - sorry for the delay in getting back to you. MJ - not sure how to make something external to LOGOS a favorite. Any hints appreciated - I'm away from my desktop for the remainder of the night. I'll try tomorrow, though it may be later in the day. My wife and I have a date planned till late afternoon.

Okay, I have now tried it with Chrome, Edge, and Opera - all giving me similar results. I have a PDF book that I would like to have access to within LOGOS. When I transfer it all I get is this vertical bar that links to its neighboring icon and that cannot be changed to one of the available default icons. Also, when I restart LOGOS, the vertical bar

Yep, but big bar stays in place but links to its neighbor not the PDF. The icon also cannot be changed as I do for web pages. I tried it with Chrome; I'll try a different browser when I get back to Windows machine.
Thank you all. I would have waited if I had known it was not a H/G product.
Also, remember, you have either 30 days or 90 days (I forget which) to return your purchase for full credit.

  • Link to PDF

I can link to a web page in the status bar by dragging the page's browser icon and dropping into the status bar. However, if the page being displayed in the browser is a local PDF, the status bar will not allow a shortcut to the PDF to be inserted. Any suggested workarounds? Why is the address of a PDF handled differently than a web page? Thanks for

  • Gospel or ευαγγελιον in OT

I was asked how was " gospel " or " ευαγγελιον " understood prior to it being applied to Christ in the NT. Did it have a religious connotation or was it merely used to refer to family or social events of some sort. Are there tools in LOGOS that could help me answer that question?
Floyd, I think we are talking two different things here..
Yes, part of the problem is that LOGOS is using the 1917 version, rather than the 1967(?) version I have as a PDF. I found this after seeing tbe problem with the missing cross references earlier in the day. The PDF solves my immediate problem, but it still leaves

Found this review from 2015 review: illiams 12/28/2015 This is a particularly lousy edition for Logos. They ought to be ashamed. First, this is only the 1909 Edition. Virtually all Evangelicals who use the Scofield use the 1967 revision, which is much improved. Second, this is NOT the "Scofield Reference Bible," but merely a reprint of the skimpy NOTES
This looks like a way to run Windows via internet cloud on practically anything. Is that for real? That could be way to run Logos on some platform that doesn't otherwise support it so readily.
My thinking exactly - if it is made available to the average user and LOGOS runs on it. Which is why I asked the original question
