The Kindle does work with PDF files. How do does one print to PDF, I have not done that one before?
Two possible solutions: Copy text to a OpenOffice document and export to PDF Use CutePDF to "print" to a PDF file. This neat utility can is installed as print driver and can be used as a normal printer, except that
I would love to see the Eerdman's Wesleyan Commentary under contract. As of now it looks like it is about 75% of the way there. It is well worth the price. Why not go have a look and put in your pre-pub order? You would have plenty of time to gather funds to cover it before it ships, and if you should fail to come up with

I can assign a post to "My Favorites" or remove a post from "My Favorites" - but I cannot find the place to see "My Favorites". I thought at first that it might be connected to the favorites on my browser, but I don't think so: I can't find it in my browser's favorites I can remove it from "My Favorites" whether I am on a different browser or different
I expect the fee will be applied "per transaction"
Thanks Bob - though it will be awhile (I hope) before it becomes an issue, I appreciate your thoughts. Blessings, Floyd
There are time when it would be nice to be able to take a book in my library with me just to read on a device such as the Kindle. Does anyone know if it is possible to export resources to a Kindle?
You have a couple of options: You can export parts of a book to html so they can be read with your web browser (IE,
We're removing the 10% fee and setting the fee at a fixed $20.
Bob: I will raise one question not addressed in your note. You have indicated that there is a flat $20 fee - but have have not indicated what this fee covers. Is "Per transfer" - if I give to my son four separate items, all purchased separately, will it

I never said it was not me - just that Joan did not need to use her picture. If you assumed that this wasn't my picture, then I will just leave you with that assumption.
For me, the forum approach is far better. Just don't make me add my picture.
Joan - find a picture of something other than yourself to include as a picture. I have this picture I found somewhere of a snake coming out of a computer in front of a pastor. I thought it was very fitting a number of years ago - as one considers

A few weeks ago we had a thread requesting that the Rose Bible Charts be made available via LOGOS. I cannot report that these are availalbe, but I can tell you how to get PDFs of many of the available charts. Go to http://www.rose-publishing.com/ and add your name and e-mail address to their mailing list. You can immediately download nine charts and

Someone has suggested allowing the user to choose the forum from the main menu. I would like to see the forum listed with each "Unread" or "Unanswered" post. Also, after I have read and responded to all the post of interest to me, it would be helpful to "Mark all read" from any page listing posts to be read - whether it be the home page or some filtered

I have placed a link into the "Favorites" bars of my browsers - Opera, IE, Firefox, etc. I visit the forums/newsgroups far more often than I need to visit the Logos home page. Blessings, Floyd
BTW: Who says you're going to heaven anyway? Do you think old farts like us make it?
George - They may need you in the other place - there won't be many down there telling them what you have to say. Blessings, Floyd
Notescraps was coded by Logos as part of a test of some glitzy programming thingy (technical term's there). So yeah it's Logos.
This is the third time I have tried to post this apology - maybe it will work this time. I did not know about Notescrapes. Thanks for the info - Blessings, Floyd
I've been having an issue with NoteScraps. I've posted a screenshot. I tried a reinstall, but am still getting it. What can I do to get it working?
Nathan: Did you mean to post this on the NoteScraps website? I am not familiar with this program. Is there some connection to the LOGOS that I am not aware of?

Mine was a bit longer - it asked for age, length of time I have been using Logos, what my role in the church was, etc. Most of these were designed to find out about me - rather than the software. I did also see your question. Blessings, Floyd

I have recently been introduced to Cyril Barber's commentaries. I would like to see these in Logos. I am currently using his commentary on I Samuel (and II Samuel) for both sermon preparation and for a class at RIT (Rochester, NY) on "The Books of Samuel". Thank you for considering this author for inclusion in the Logos library. Yours because His, Floyd

Time for foot in mouth. I agree that the forums are not as useful as the newsgroups; however, there is a work around for part of your concern. You can follow a thread and track with articles you have read by having them forwarded to an email account. Of course, having done that, there is not way to reply to an article without coming back to the forums

One of the reasons that I do not like the forums is that invalid statistics are being posted. Here are the forums that I see available: As you can see, the stats at the bottom of the image report 21 threads. I only see the five threads listed under "Threads/Posts". If there are more than the four forums listed here, that might explain the descripancy

It seems that a great many people like the new format (I don't - but then I resist change), but it looks like all the conversation has stopped. Both here and on the newsgroups. I do not think that was Bob's intention. Let's see some discussion if this really is important to you. Floyd
