And, Yes, I probably will let it "merge-index" etc this eveing while I sleep.
"merge index" may not look carefully at the resources whereas "rebuild index" will! The former is quick if you have a supplemental index to merge with the main index!
Thanks David, I was having trouble

Mine also "crashed" during the import of the notes etc. It asked to do the M$ error report. I re-bootef the PC and all was well - Favorites imported, highlighting available etc. I'm running XP SP3 etc Steve F (Sorry, Phil, I forgot to log it).

Not me - they have my email address Steve F
Steve, please help us by including the previous context to which you are responding - just hit the " Quote " button to include it. Take your time and index when you need to!
Sorry, David: I was referring to the earlier tips about the 3 faulty (now older) files of Lexham SGGNT resources. And, Yes, I probably will let
1. The "An Update is ready to be installed" pop up happens everytime I start Logos4; I cannot do the update, evertime I click "Yes" the buttom pops up again (endless loop - Yes - popup - yes -popup ...)
This part of your problem happened to me this afternoon. the only way I coul make it go away was to reboot the computer

Not really, there were a couple of "small" indexing sessions, but I think it was for either re-built files or for my having "hidden" some other resources. I don't mind doing it on the 2 core laptop (which does not need it) but my problem is on the slower 1 core tower. I really do not want to have to index it! Thanks Richard. Regards Steve F

David, I've finally been able to "clean" the laptop of threse three files. Took about 3 restarts. But original 'tower" still claims to see the LexhamSGGnt etc even though there are NO resources files in its drawer (nor are there any in the L3 resource drawer anymore. also, both Libraries claim to have the same amount of resources, even though there

James that "sync" does NOT refer to resources -- it is an unfortunate "double use" of the term within Logos. the "syching arrows" deal with 'user" generated materials ie. bookmarks, favorites, layout etc NOT your "book" resources. Someone else will need to chime in with more suggestions. Did you understand what Daves "Command Line" "sync" meant? It
Joan, its primaraly for those with huge libraries that dont want to download 8+GB each time they reinstall I reinstall my testing PC every other week, call me sad, but for me without it I would not bother installing L4 on the machine
These folks were in rural areas with only dial up or in overseas sites where they were

No, they are two (in most cases) separate programs. It will use up hard drive space, though, as (some) L3 resources are duplicated. At present L4 appears to be using both L3 and its own new L4 resources. L3 resources are constantly being updated to the L4 format. (Hopethis has not confused the issue). Regards Steve f
Provided your access to resources has been fully restored (per this thread), try deleting the following files from your \Resources folder:- LexhamSGGNT.lbxclv and LexSGGlossary.logos4 together with LexhamSGGNT.lbssyn. The last is the syntax database.
David - I have been able to get rid of all of these files from the

David, I have now tried this twice (ie to "hide" the 2 files) by opening two tabs: Library & Program Settings. Crashes and requests for "Error Reporting" happened BOTH times as I attempted to drag these two files from the Library Window to the Hidden Resources Window. Regards Steve F

OR Open help. Click mouse at top and holding mouse down, "select" all of the help file. Yes it takes a LONG time. Then "drag" it into an open Word window. It equals about 36 pages. But at least then you can select specific portions to print or at least read it more easily? Early on in the Beta process I used this method to print it out each time because

Dear Luuk: Thank you for the greeting. I copied it out and gave it to an elderly couple who had emigrated to Canada in the 1950's from the Netherlands. They enjoyed doinng the translation. Regards Steve F (Ontario, Canada)

Is this how scan is supposed to work? That is, does it require a close and reopen to accomplish its work? It's been awhile sinceIused it, but I believe the answer is YES Steve F

QUOTE: In another thread ( http://community.logos.com/forums/t/7638.aspx ) I've been experiencing erratic behavior scrolling in the RCL Lectionary. When I uncheck "Links to Open Panel" for highlighting, the panel resolves. CONFIRMED - but why would this be so? What was really wrong? How has this helped correct it? "Inquiring" minds would llike to know

Mark, Russ & David etc: I've appreciated your discussion. There is one area though where you have no fears. Some of us with slower computers might out of curiosity attempt this tool -- but I wouldn't recommend it.. Until optimized, the Morph tool is very slow; has no "spinning dial" to indicate anything is even happening, which then leads to other buttons
