• How do you typically navigate Logos? Keyboard commands • What is your primary purpose for using Logos? What tasks do you perform most often? reading text and searches e.g. which books/articles is xxx found in? [these are very difficult currently because I have to export the articles to read the results.] • What are your biggest accessibility needs

Thank you, Bob. This would mean a great deal to us who have been trying to establish contact via the appropriate mechanisms for some time.

I am not seeking help with using Logos--as I said, I am an advanced JAWS user. Logos has some serious problems with accessibility and I am seeking an ongoing dialogue regarding these issues. I am often asked to recommend alternative Bible study software due to these problems. I would like to think that it is in everyone's good interest to resolve this

I keep emailing them each time I place another order. I have been able to arrange some workarounds in the PC app. What this means is that I am able to navigate to what I want using either library or search and export it. Logos staff have suggested using app.logos.com as an alternative. This has some promise but is not a fully accessible alternative

Yes, IOS has been the most usable option for me with regard to the search feature and general reading inside the application. I would like to see better accessibility of the audio interface for accessing mobile ed and other audio content in the PC and other applications. The buttons are not labeled and it is not possible as far as I can tell to control

It seems to me that all the varied opinions on this thread will not help to give Logos a push in the right direction. There are at least four pronunciation schemes that I have located for Hebrew. Each one is promoted as "correct" for its own reasons by someone. As a professor of Biblical Hebrew with students on track to move into other programs that

Try control+option+b, otherwise known as VO+b.

Please do not post screen shots when trying to help screen reader users. We cannot view them and cannot answer your questions about whether our screens look like what you are posting.

Hi, Graham. If I can help further with regard to Logos and screen readers, please let me know. I am a JAWS user and have been a Logos user since 2007. Currently I am using Logos 7 core engine with my library. Many of the Logos 7 additional features do not work with screen readers. Logos has several customers who are using various screen readers and

I would like to know whether Logos is planning to speak with users of screen readers about things that can be done to improve accessibility in upcoming versions. Some of us have spent a lot of money on these products and continue to do so. We would like to be able to take advantage of additional features. We are willing to speak with you about ways

The first time you turn on accessibility, you may need a Logos rep to assist--I did. They really, really need to fix this. Try restarting Logos to see whether the set accessibility to yes saved and changed after restart. If it is not better in yourdesktop/laptop app, then try contacting Logos support by phone for assistance and let them know you are

Hi, Graham. Screen readers often read things in different formats from what you see on the screen--we don't get the sense of what is left, right, top and bottom. This is the reason why we need much better accessibility with Logos. It is very difficult to troubleshoot situations such as this, and Logos loses money when a potential customer finds it difficult

Hello. Recently I attempted to assist a new Logos user who purchased Logos 8. I have been a user of Logos since 2007 and have seen many variations on accessibility, or lack thereof. Logos 8 is disturbing, as the button to toggle the contents pane on and off is gone. The person was able to receive a refund after technical support staff apologized numerous

Since I can't see your screen shots, I can't accurately answer your questions. This is a good example of the problems in discussing screen reader accessibility. :) I suspect that the interface works normally for a sighted person but has been broken for users of screen readers, at least for users of JAWS. I myself have not upgraded. I have offered several

Hi, Keith. It is important to help people to understand the context of the Bible, even if you don't use big words. For instance, even if you don't know the original Greek and Hebrew, you know that the Bible was originally written in Greek and Hebrew. This is something you can explain to the people, and you can explain that when one language is translated

Hi, Keith. It sounds like there is a lot about your group that would be useful to know. You mention working with deaf and deafblind. ... Yes, it is God's gift to be leading people. It is also important to educate ourselves about how to use the gift of being in leadership, and to equip ourselves with assistants who can help us communicate effectively

I am a long-time Logos user (since 2006) and would like to talk with someone at Logos about screen reader accessibility. I do not need help but am interested in assisting with sincere efforts to improve accessibility. I have remained a Logos user despite many years of access difficulties. I would truly like to see this change. Let's talk please.

I would also like to know this. I use the JAWS screen reader and (along with two colleagues) am a 2016 winner of the Jacob Bolotin award from the National Federation of the Blind in recognition of innovative work to increase accessibility to biblical language materials. I would like to see Logos become a part of the resources that are fully accessible

If Logos added an option to ignore program colors and fonts, it might allow the user-selected Windows theme to prevail and thus resolve the problem of high-contrast themes blanking out the books. This type of option is available in web browsers to improve accessibility and is widely used by people with low vision.

Does anyone read the accessibility forum? I have been trying to get in touch with someone regarding accessibility concerns with screen readers for several weeks. I have posted in the accessibility forum and have also sent email to accessibility@logos.com . I have been a Logos user for ten years and am an advanced JAWS user. I am attempting to start
