it was hard to tell your gender from initials
As the 7th (and last) generation of Marthas in the family (aunt-niece more often than mother-daughter), my family took to calling me MJ. And you don't think the Book of Kells is gender specific? I almost used a picture of an ambo ... but figured too many people wouldn't

Way too many - but at least its raining out and I deserved a mental break.... And I have been doing denominational personality profiling based on the topic and the tone of the post - a new doctoral thesis in the works (I'm just kidding folks) - some are being far too serious.

So far I have only two issues with Logos 4: 1) I am still having trouble with the Notes function - some of which I expect to be my learning curve, some of which may still be Logos not quite supporting what

Somehow, I am not impressed with a software company saying "here - use the new version ... but by the way we expect you to parallel some of your work in the old version until we get around to adding it to the new version ... and, by the way, there might be some new functionality that you will wish you had used - but repeating more of the work isn't

  • Re: Notes - link to references

Thanks. I am finally getting the links - but only if I have only the citation on the line. I apparently have something set wrong. At least I now know how to get the link and what to look for to get it working correctly.

If this feature remains an annual license item will we receive credit for the time between the release of L4 and the release of the PBB conversion software?

  • Notes - link to references

How do I make Bible references within a note link to the Scripture? For example, from a note on Genesis 1:3: "Intertextual question: Read John 1:1-14 in light of Genesis 1:1-2:3. " ... how do I make the reference to John a link?

  • Notes by reference; note icon

Here is a sample of how I use notes - not necessarily real examples but a quicky for testing: As you can see the first note should refer to Genesis 1:1-2; however, I've not been able to find a way to include more than one verse without ending up with a selection note rather than reference note. What am I missing? [And yes, I do have this thing about
I would like to see more customization features in the Bible Reading Plan
This is also something that I want to see although my example would be very different. I wouldn't expect it to be addressed immediately as there are a number of more critical features scheduled for the next quarter or two.

  • Re: Note Files with new Logos 4

Okay - I finally got it to work but .... What I was doing wrong was that I was highlighting more than one verse rather than clicking on the verse number. Since I HATE chapter and verse except for citations - I use SENTENCES, I'll need to play with it a bit more to get what I need.

Sounds to me like asking Logos to develop its own lectionary I'm sure they would do better than some of the "new agey religious communities".

Good solution - another is to get the 6 year ISSL cycle into lectionary format. L4 appears to support that.
