  • Re: Which Hebrew OT resource goes with Audio Reading of Hebrew Old & New Testament

Thanks for the clarification. In L9 Win Desktop I saw (but don’t remember where) the narrator options for Greek. It makes sense that they have to be supported by Logos. For Greek NT it works as one would hope... * From NA28 or UBS5 or SBL GNT, I can choose “Read aloud Greek Audio New Testament(John Schwandt). The texts also show a speaker

Thanks to all for the answers. I just grabbed the Letteris audio. It looks to me like the same audio that’s free on the internet, but I like having it in my Logos library. To summarize... There are two Hebrew Audiobibles: Free (standalone audio) - https://www.logos.com/product/ 198013/letteris-hebrew-bible About $20 (but check your dynamic pricing

  • Which Hebrew OT resource goes with Audio Reading of Hebrew Old & New Testament

I just purchased Audio Reading of Hebrew Old & New Testament, intending to use it to read along with text like the Greek NT Audio does. Which Hebrew OT text should I choose to find the audio read along option? (Or does it only work as a standalone audio recording.)

  • Re: Manuscript info in Logos - beyond Textual Variants Guide

Appreciate tips on the additional Logos resources. I also ran across NT textual witnesses and variant graphs in an iOS app by the SWORD Project, which fetches INTF info based on the verse. Looks promising.

  • Manuscript info in Logos - beyond Textual Variants Guide

The textual variants guide has great verse-based manuscript information in Logos 8 Desktop. Hoping more is available outside the guide. Is there an easy way in Logos to determine... 1. Which manuscripts do/don't contain the verse - For example, for a verse in Revelation, which manuscripts are witnesses to the text? - Can the manuscript explorer filter

  • Re: LHI - How accurate are the associated Hebrew Lemmas?

Thank you Rick! That’s exactly the feedback I was hoping to get. Yes, of course, subjective decisions are to be expected. But your response is very helpful, giving me a base level of confidence when using the LHI. Bob

  • LHI - How accurate are the associated Hebrew Lemmas?

I've been reading through Genesis in Hebrew using the LHI Lexham Hebrew English Interlinear while displaying the Hebrew Lemmas and lexical values. How accurate are the LHI Lemmas? Are they almost 100% correct, or are they more of a work in progress? A couple times I noticed that the Lemma displayed just didn't look right. Unfortunately I didn't note

  • Re: Transliteration in the Lexham Heb Eng Interlinear

I haven't checked for alignment, but on the surface this seems have the information I need. A very literal and mechanical transliteration as expected. https://brill.com/fileasset/downloads_static/static_fonts_scholarlyhebrewtransliteration.pdf While it might seem over-complicated for beginners, I like the way it exactly matches with the manuscript.

  • Transliteration in the Lexham Heb Eng Interlinear

Would like to better understand the transliteration displayed with the Lexham HebEng Interlinear... * Which method is used? (Does not seem to be tied to the method in program settings.) * Is it from a resource or generated? * Is there a guide to the transliteration symbols available? Here's some sample text... Thanks! <The fIrst attempt to post created

No... unfortunately, I don't have any of those resources.

  • Re: Ambiguity in Bible morphology - How to see alternatives?

So I (finally) noticed that there is a resource selector drop down inside the exegetical guide word by word section. Obvious now, but had completely missed it before. Turns out I have a large number of RIs in my library after all. But none of the 29 of the resources available in my drop down result in a +/-. Including the NRSV NT RI. Although I do show

  • Re: Ambiguity in Bible morphology - How to see alternatives?

Interesting. I only have "forward" interlinears as best I can tell. And when I right click on the NRSV bible resource, it only shows NNSN, but that may be from some default morphology being used with many different resources. Based on your observation, I looked at a number of other resources. When I tried "The New Testament in the Original Greek: Byzantine

Thanks, that helps. Don't see the +/- to hover over, but maybe it's about having the right resources.

  • Ambiguity in Bible morphology - How to see alternatives?

The morphological tagging of Bibles in Logos must make choices based on context when there is ambiguity. At least I believe that's true in Greek, but I'm not sure about Hebrew. Is more information available in Logos about alternative morphology tags... 1) How can I tell where the morphology is sourced from? 2) Can Logos resources or tools show the alternatives

  • How to find event dates associated with a bible verse?

I'd like to find the dates associated with a verse or passage in the bible. For example, when I'm reading I 7:1, I want to learn that Israel and Syria attacked Judah in 735/734. I can see some events that are associated with a verse by right click, but don't see how to get the associated dates. I can also see events in the timeline, but I need to know

I enjoy reading old bibles and would like to use an old font like one of the KJV1611 fonts available on the web. Is there a simple way to use such a font on a Bible resource with Logos Mobile?

Thanks for the great feedback... * Author Bio may be available for resource authors * Wikipedia Tool * Fact Book * 131 Christians Everyone Should Know * Better search, e.g. (Bullinger NEAR ("E. • How to search library for a person - short bio, bibliography, theology/associations?

When I read, I often run across references to people (modern and ancient authors, theologians, philosophers, rulers, historical figures, bible translators, missionaries, etc). Is there a quick way to search my Logos library for background on people? A shotgun "everything search" usually leaves me hunting for a needle in a huge collection of haystacks
