  • Re: ESV Study Bible

While comparison of ESV Study notes with a different translation might be nice to do on occasion, it is simple enough to compare passages in different translations: the purpose behind making these Notes available seperately seems more in line with avoiding having to buy a second copy of the ESV text for those who have already invested in a Libronix

Quick question for Phil: ESV Study Bible Notes : Will all references to bible text in the ESVSB notes bring up ESV bible text or our default "preferred Bible" translation. It would make more sense if we could be assured it would be ESV text no matter what our prefered Bible setting might currently be. DaveJ

I want my Logos software to remain on my own machine - NOT in "the cloud" - main reasons for me - I cannot always get to "the cloud" - I travel a lot and find that way too many places charge exhorbitantly for renting me short term access to "the cloud" - more importantly perhaps is the fact that almost everything I used "the cloud" for a decade ago

  • Re: What do you think of web forums instead of newsgroups?

Well over 60 responses in this thread already - significantly more difficult than in newsgroups to get to those recently posted that I have not looked at yet ......... Forums are OK for very low volume groups, but not so well suited for this type of question and responses..... DaveJ
