I am wondering, as I am going through and creating my own series, are there any Faithlife groups or Wiki pages with good examples of the best commentaries for each of the 66 books of the Bible, as one can find in the different level base packages? (i.e. the best commentaries for someone with Logos 7 Gold)? Thanks!

Basically, with Set Series, you can add a "Tag" like value to it, and to other resources, and it makes your own series. So, if you found your favorite go-to commentary for each book of the Bible, and added the tag "Fav66" to it in "Set Series", it would allow you to search those commentaries as if it were a series, or one book, seamlessly, even if they
I actually created a Note file that you can use in Logos/Verbum, that will highlight the notes as comments (I saw someone else on the forums did it). You can see a picture of it in action below. What I also did, was just published it to the Logos Clippings & Notes group on Faithlife, so you can get a copy! Please let me

As far as I know, the only people having problems are those who subscribe to the Office Insider program, which is basically the Office 365 Beta program. So, chances are, the issue is a Microsoft one, not one with Logos. Also, someone mentioned doing a "Paste Special" and pasting as RTF, and that does work, placing the footnotes at the bottom. It's an

It's set as such. Those are the default settings in Word, as far as I know.

Yes. I can manually do it with no problem. I mean, honestly, it's not that big of a deal having to do it manually. I guess I got used to the nice functionality of it doing it for me. Every time, with every setting, this is how it pastes into Word:
I was able to reproduce using the same resource. After right clicking in Word, if I use the paste button furthest to the right, I get your results. If I use either of the other two buttons, the citations work correctly.
How does this translate into Word for Mac Settings? I've never had this problem before.

Thank you!
Since commentaries sync with the Bible, how does tagging them and making a collection of them enhance their functionality?
As for tagging, I'm still new to that. Collections, on the other hand, group styles/types of commentaries (Academic, historical, etc.) together to help you determine what type of
Delete them all every now and then (answering your title). So's you have a complete discussion, notes don't belong in Logos (my input, and the Logos CEO originally ... he may have changed, better to support his eco-system idea). All my notes sit in a text file, keyed relative to my 4 Bible software platforms. Then every now and

Does anyone have a list of what came with the Logos 6 Platinum Base package? I have 7 now, but there is one book from the New American Commentary Series that I apparently don't have, 1 Corinthians, and I'm trying to figure out why.
It's been a while since I have used LibreOffice, but you are correct about Microsoft Word. From my recollection, I though LibreOffice did as Word did with footnotes, however, there may have been updates on one side or another (LibreOffice or Logos) that made it not work, as it did with Apple's Pages a few years ago. There

Whoops, I quoted the wrong post on asking that question, it was supposed to be for Graham Criddle. But, I've tried all three paste options and I get the same results each time.

Thank you!

Every time I do that, it doesn't keep. I can set it to show them in the order created, and then make a new one attached to Matthew 4:4, it will show up in verse order, while rest stay in order they were created, until I go back to the drop down menu and re-click on order they were created.

I have a note file that I am working in, and it seems to always want to be in the order of the verses when I look at it. And, it does this no matter how many times I click on "Sort by date created" and "Newest". It changes it right then, but, if I make a new note after that, it doesn't sort it that way. And, twice, it has completely reverted to verse
I'd like to know what the return value would be before making a decision. Academically, it's dead to me. Pastoral lyrics there's probably still value. However there are other books I'd value more in Logos.
I agree with this as well.
The good news Cynthia is as you use John's training you will be able to create collections by yourself that is better than what you find online.
Where is this training of John's? I would like to see this.

I am using the Faithlife ebooks app (formerly Vyrso) and am reading through Calvin's Institutes. When I go to select a word and click on the option to "Define" it, no matter the word, it says no definition found, whether it be a word like "concupiscience" or "comprehend", it's always the same thing, no definition found. Is there something I need to

It hadn't crossed my mind that the Logos app would use the iOS dictionaries. Thank you! I am starting to use my iPad more now, so this is a nice feature.
Thanks for the reply. Can you or someone else explain the 144 Volume Research Library? Is this simply an extra set of books in addition to what I already have (and of course you don't know what I have) but neither do & how would one know, e.g. maybe some of the books in this Research Library are ones I already have?
