When studying Greek I want my layout to look like this: But whenever I close it, when I reopen it it looks like this: I do not want the lemma, Louw-Nida, or Strong's numbers showing up. Every time I uncheck those boxes in the Interlinear options and save the layout, and every time I reopen it they're back. I've gone through all the layouts I currently

I got really worried when I first saw this thread, then I saw this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/176487.aspx Some of what I thought were my pre-pubs were included in my Logos 8 upgrade, but they still show up as pre-pubs. So if you've upgraded to 8, you might want to check this.

I noticed that the Wipf & Stock bundles sale (80% off) includes many volumes of the Studies on C.S. Lewis Collection (22 vols.), which is not on sale. But most of the resources in the collection are also on sale at 80% off ($4.99 each) individually, for those not interested in the bundles: https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=%22C.S.+Lewis%22&sort

I just finished this one last month and gave it 5 stars. I really enjoyed it. There's a lot of focus on historical background, not just theology. The outline in the product page matches exactly the actual course segments. The instructor does have a bit of an accent, as you can tell from the previews (he's originally from Greece). Whoever transcribed

Meanwhile I did find my own work-around. From the DOCS menu I opened up all my reading plans, then put them in one floating window so they will be available but out of the way. When I click on the link in the reading plan itself, it opens the resource in the right place without changing my layout.

In Logos 7, clicking on today's readings from the home page took me to the resource in my current open layout, or if the resource wasn't already open it opened it in the current layout. Now in Logos 8, clicking on today's reading opens a whole new layout. How can I get to today's readings without opening a new layout? I have 7 different daily reading

Good idea to check even pre-pubs you haven't ordered. Smyth & Helwys commentary set was too expensive for me @ $1,199.99. But it's included in the Diamond upgrade, which for me is only $290 more than the Platinum upgrade. So I'd be saving over $900, which is more than the cost of the upgrade.
L8 apparently will be released once the new notes system is finished for desktop, web, and mobile platforms. That last estimate was February 2019, but that date might slip. We all want L8 to ship, but not before it’s ready.
My Faithlife Connect subscription expires in February, as I'm sure is the case for many

Work on setting up a layout that works best for you, and save it as a named layout.

That happened to me when I went through the logos.com store, but I was able to get the same course through the store.faithlife.com link and the coupon worked.

I'm on goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/43346211-pam-larson I've made no attempt to add my library to goodreads. I just enter the books when I finish reading them.

I was trying to free up space on my Android tablet. I had around 300 resources downloaded in my Logos app, which included 50 Mobile Ed courses. I decided to delete the 50 courses. I went offline, opened the app, and opened Courses from the menu to isolate just the 50 resources I wanted to delete. I clicked Remove All, and it said it was removing 50

I set up reading plans when I want to read a book straight through. Even if I don't keep up with the plan, at least the reading plan will sync between devices so I know where I left off.

For New Testament I always start with the Exegetical Summaries. They basically summarize what the major commentaries say on a verse-by-verse basis. I also like the available Lexham Bible Guides for similar reasons. Although they're not verse by verse they boil down what the commentaries say on major words and issues.

The way I've handled this problem, I put a quick access link to the Logos audio player in my Windows file explorer. On my computer, it's at: C:\Users\Pamela\AppData\Local\Logos5\Data\k4qj1dcn.oka\AudioPlayer When Logos won't play the hymn, I open it in the audio player file. I'll have to try the task manager solution.
As reported by Tom, the syntax for hiding already owned resources in the new store is currently broken. In the past, the user could add "&unlocked=no" to the URL to produce a page filtered for only new resources. On my tablet, when I search for "understanding" they don't show up. When I searched for the author of Genesis, "Hartley", it shows up.
I recently walked a small group through this mobile ed course: https://www.logos.com/product/45034/mobile-ed-ot301-origins-of-genesis-1-3
I'm currently working my way through this course (and I'm not a Faithlife employee). Walton's thesis is that the Genesis 1 creation story, like other ancient creation stories, has
