  • Need help with lemma-morph search

I want to do morph searches on Greek verbs in an interlinear and also be able to specify if the lemma ends in mai or not. The search for verbs ending in mai is straight forward: lemma:*mai@V???, where the wildcards can be replaced with whatever I want. My question is is how do I format this search so it gives me verbs with lemmas not ending with mai

  • Sharing a custom highlight palette

This may have been asked and answered at some time, but I can't find it. I have created a custom highlighting palette that I would like to share with someone who also has Logos 6. Can this be done? We both have PCs running Windows 7. Thanks.

  • Re: Logos 6 Crossgrade and Service Update 4 failed to install on PC

Hi Graham, I checked and I, as user, already had ownership of the Logos4 folder as well as the System folder under it. I'm an old IT guy and it's strange, so I checked the dll itself. Ownership was set to Administrator. Checking other files in the Logos4 folder showed that all were owned by Administrator. So the folders were owned by me, but all the

  • Logos 6 Crossgrade and Service Update 4 failed to install on PC

Hi, I did a crossgrade (Feature Crossgrade) the other day from Logos 5 to Logos 6. When I I ran the installer I got an error message. The message was: Logos Bible Software Error writing to file: C:\Users\Terry\AppData\Local\Logos4\System\Libronix.DigitalLibrary.ResourceDrivers.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory. Clicking on Retry was

  • Re: How would a Biblical librarian manage their Logos books?

I have long thought it would be nice if Logos tagged all resources with Dewey and Library of Congress numbers, and that they allowed the user to select which numbering system the user wanted to use. Having this as a sort option for the library would organize and group things in a helpful manner. I personally prefer the Dewey system when working with

  • Re: When was first Gospel written and what was it?

It's not available from Logos, but in "Redating the New Testament" John A. T. Robinson makes a good argument for all the gospels being written before AD 70. In "Jesus and the Eyewitnesses", Richard Bauckham speaks of Papius and the gospels as eyewitness accounts. It's not always an easy read, but worth the effort.

I spoke to Logos sales last week and they told me that they were working on the NA28 as a separate resource and that it might be available later this month or next.

  • Updating library catalog: List may be incomplete

First some background: I had L4 Platinum and back on Nov 18th purchased the L5 Minimal Crossgrade. After reading some of the forum posts, I called Logos yesterday and had them reverse the minimal crossgrade and purchased the Silver upgrade and then got the crossgrade at a discount. Later the same day I decided I couldn't live without some of the resources

  • Re: Missing NIV resources

Thanks for the insight. Logos could probably avoided the confusion over interlinears if on their product comparison page they changed the name of the "Interlinear Bibles" section to "Interlinear Bible Data Sets" with a note that they only work if the corresponding English Bible is owned.

  • Re: Missing NIV resources

Mark, so you're saying the L5 Platinum upgrade is NIV 2011 interlinear ready, but since the NIV 2011 isn't listed as a resource under English Bibles I have to purchase it separately????? I have to spend another $9.99? If so listing the OT & NT under Interlinear Bibles on the product upgrade page is misleading. Or am I missing something?

  • Re: Missing NIV resources

No I didn't. But it is listed as being part of both the Silver and Platinum packages.

  • Missing NIV resources

I had L4 Platinum and decided to upgrade to L5 Silver. I then went ahead and upgraded to L5 Platinum to get some additional resources I decided I couldn't live without. Everything has downloaded and indexed. To be sure I ran Update Now and Update Resources in the command box. For both it said no updates were found. When I go to my library the NIV (2011

  • On a different note-- Thanks Logos!

The forums by their nature tend to be negative. People usually post because they have a problem, suggestion, or complaint, and sometimes the manner in which they are offered could use a little more grace or charity. So I'd like to take advantage of the season and offer something positive. I just did a L5 Minimal Crossgrade from L4 Platinum with a number

  • Re: Unknown icon/tool in Faithlife Study Bible

Mark and MJ, The word before the icon is in a different color and is hyperlinked to articles in the LBD. Since hovering the mouse over the word gives the LBD info in a "bubble" like when hovering other linked words in Logos, I don't understand the purpose of the icon. Seems strange--not the standard way Logos handles these things. Might this be some

  • Unknown icon/tool in Faithlife Study Bible

I've circled two icons in the above capture from the Faithlife Study Bible. Clicking the second one expands the text to provide additional information. I can't figure out with the first one is for. Any clues? I just did a L5 minimal crossgrade from L4 Platinum. Thanks, Terry

  • Re: LGNTI Greek text

Hi David, Knew it wasn't the NA28 because the LGNTI has been around for awhile. However, there are a number of "critical texts" floating around that are often tweaks of the NA27, like Zondervan's. I just want to know what I'm working with.
