Interestingly, I will be activating a new phone tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath because, well, even if it worked, it's a long time without air.

  • Re: Resource request - views on inspiration

Since you mentioned subtle theological assumptions unknown to you, I thought about approaches that may have different starting points than resources others have alluded to -- which often reveal subtle theological assumptions. For example, here's the first part of the TOC from the first volume of Pannenberg's Systematic Theology: CHAPTER 1 The Truth

  • Re: How many misrepresentation of facts do you allow before calling a resource garbage?

It's the nature of almost any discipline. (Religion, history, philosophy, literary criticism, art, nutrition, law, medicine, quantum physics, etc. Only math stands as irrefutable, perhaps.) As long as there's room for debate, we have the privilege of declaring a misrepresentation of reality. Or maybe it's not the nature of the discipline, but it's the

  • Re: Please list the contents of this pre-pub collection shipping in about 3 weeks

It's mostly fixed, but there's a recursive resource called "Select Walter Brueggemann Old Testament Commentaries" which includes "Select Walter Brueggemann Old Testament Commentaries". It reminds me of Russell's Paradox. It's a collection that contains all the collections that contain themselves. 🤪🤪

  • Re: About Logos 10
I would like to see a clear "breakout" of the prioritized list of resources associated to particular types.
Same here. It's hard to see what's in the list and what categories I've got covered. If this were implemented, that status could be shown in the information pane about the resource in the library.

If there were a follow/lead feature, it might be helpful to have more linksets available since we could use them in various ways.

This is a jolly digression. I'll have to read more about the Hittights <sic>. But I hope the OP's question was answered. 😁

  • Re: Traditional vs New Perspectives on Paul
I know the New Perspective is contentious and lofty.
It's only contentious because there's another perspective that's not the "New Perspective". However, after several decades of being out there, it's interesting to see a type of Hegelian dialectic at work in Pauline scholarship. My advice would be to read

  • Re: Recommended: Comfort's Manuscript Commentary

That looks pretty interesting. I haven't looked at review articles, but since it's described as a " small and insightful volume", there are probably more passages where one takes issue with the UBS that Comfort doesn't cover than those that he does. (Your sample, e.g., has huge chunks of Titus not covered.) Still, textual criticism is never exhaustive

Oh my. It DOES look like a dog. Is that why its rank on Amazon is over #2.5 million? 🤔🤪

  • Re: Overwhelmed with Jacob Neusner titles

I know this is a late response, but Neusner's output is overwhelming, indeed. I have some of his larger works, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for during this sale. I do appreciate Beloved Amodeo 's list. If you find anything that looks great, I'd love to know what you think.

I understand. Thank you for the clarification. And had you not mentioned it, I was going to suggest an app that puts it in the notification area. I'm glad you found it.

  • Re: Minimize to Task Tray?

I'm sorry if I'm missing something, but if the issue is load time, can't you just minimize Logos and go about your business doing other things while Logos sits on the task bar? I leave Logos open continually, only really starting it after a reboot, which is quite rare.

  • Re: Wipf & Stock Sale is Back

Last time there was a Wipf & Stock sale, my desires got out of control, so I created a separate wishlist to serve as a holding tank for that sale. With this sale going on, I got an email stating one of my wishlisted items is discounted, which I had forgotten about. When I looked at my list for the first time in many months, it's large enough that

I didn't get mine, either. I couldn't remember if the code came at the beginning of the month, or on the one's birthday which, for me, is at the end. I emailed them, too because of your reminder! Thank you, Kenute! Interestingly, I got the email with the code and a suggestion that I should check my spam. Well, I get about 500 emails from FL each month
