• Re: Logos Books Site

I played around with this for a long time when it was introduced, but I couldn't figure out a way to leverage its content. But it's still fun every now and then to stroll through some of these old, dusty volumes. But it doesn't look like much has been done to promote or to develop the site.

I can answer the first one, PL. I have a collection called "Ancient Texts". When I type the following FSD in Anc (even truncating the whole name of the collection), I can wait and see the suggestion "Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery in Ancient Texts" pop up. Then I can just click on the suggested command. It'll do that with any collection.

Yeah, and I love reading random things (via FSD) in my collections of essays and festschrifts, things that can comfortably be consumed in a single setting. I make shortcuts and I need more room, but it's a fun distraction.
But for me, I use a CitedBy of grammars for automated comments.
Good idea, but that'll likely favor reference grammars. She's also right, though: Look at them, look at the TOC, and determine what kind of grammar you want.

It's the only commentary set I don't have that interests me at this point. I've got my vote in.

Congrats to you and to Vik. It's amazing to me how God leads us through the seasons of life and the seasons of our professions and how sometimes, these realms run in parallel. And sometimes they don't. Blessings to the FL family.

I always overanalyze commercials. It all started when I was a kid and a local lending institution advertised rates that were "lower than you might think". Even my 10-year-old brain had a heyday with that meaningless line.

I confess that I don't remember what it used to look like, but if I understand correctly, I'm now seeing the same thing as you, Graham.

I must confess, I was intrigued and a little impatient, so I checked it out from my local library. Thanks for the suggestion, MJ.

  • Heiser code not working

Greetings! I'm trying to redeem the Heiser mobile Ed coupon code (from the webinar), but it does not work for the selected course. My course choice is one of his and is one of the courses that come up from the link in the email. Has anyone else had this issue? I can call CS tomorrow, but I'm an impatient fellow. 🙂

  • Re: Help with Hebrew

I'd like to know the approach the Zondervan course uses. I always liked an inductive approach (start with a passage and learn grammar and vocab as you go), but that only worked for me if I could supplement that approach with some rigor to learn the paradigms. Although I had already completed my language studies before getting Logos, it seems like a

  • Current location in a resource

On the desktop app, I can see where I am in a resource by expanding the TOC and see where it's highlighted. However, in the mobile app (I'm on Android), I cannot see similar functionality. Is there a way to know where I am in a resource? (I also know if it has page numbers, I can figure that out, but it's not easily reflected in the TOC.) TIA.
