George, sentence diagramming in particular is what I was interested in.
Peace, Liam! Methinks you have no worries! AFAIK, Logos 5 doesn't change Logos 4 sentence diagramming abilities! No reason for you to upgrade ............ UNLESS ...... you desire all the wonderful things that

Perhaps I'm just not fully understanding this tool, but why does it leave other passages out that use blessed as well, such as Rev1:3 ?
In Rev 1:3 , the verb-less clause whose predicate is the adjective μακάριος (blessed) is omitted because our analysis didn't determine any semantic

Do a Bible search then with: Jesus NEAR "i am"

I'm not sure you can get a clause search to do that. If you search subject:Jesus verb:to be, that will get you the instances that Jesus uses the ego eimi formula, but you will also get some false positives. I think you would need to do a morph search to get more specific, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for your responses, Sean! :-)

It's a bug that momentarily makes you feel good that you have a bigger library then you thought :-)

I have noted with amusement that Logos often does make decisions
And when they do this, they lose creditably in the academia world IMHO.
It's a real danger that is inherent in a critter like Bible software, and Logos in particular. Why? Because Logos simply does what no one else is doing (one

By the way, color me jealous of you being at ETS! I couldn't go this year, but it is tons of fun!

If you are student, faculty or staff at one of the many schools that Logos works with, ask about the academic discount. While it may not be 50%, it is still substantial.
Secondly, I hope that nobody has gotten the impression that I'm looking for Logos to make interpretations for me or do my exegesis for me. Simply put, pretty much EVERY review I've read or seen on this feature has made the statement that the Clause Search addresses all the pronouns of the text, etc. Without mention of the limitations
-
Kevin, you hit it on the head. I would be very uneasy if the software started making interpretive decisions for me. That's our job, aided by the illuminating ministry of the Holy Spirit. The value of Logos is its ability to aid us in getting the information that we need in order to make an interpretation. If clause search did pull up Is 53 in a search

Nice bug :-)

I think that if you sign out and then browse as a guest, you can see prices that do not take your current package/library into account.
Hi Sean! Look forward to meeting you sometime.
Stop by the Lindale US Bank anytime...you can find me there :-)

Hey Kim. Not to hijack this post, but its fun to see you here. I too live in CR...was just at your church Monday night subbing as the teacher for the Emmaus extension class. :-). Small world!

Hooray for people named Sean!
