• Re: Incomplete Grammatical Relationships in BWS

I have to concur with Harry on this. I greatly appreciate BWS for many of its features, but due to the very reasons he pointed out, I seldom refer to the grammatical relationship piece, at least with respect to Greek grammar. An excellent example of why good training in grammar and an ability to perform a grammatical layout can never (totally) be replaced

  • Re: The Reading plan

Hi Julius, That is something I have wished for as well. It is possible in some resources (ex. Early Church Fathers, Augustine, on the Trinity), but I have not been able to simply set it up for the reading plan in other books. I agree that it would be a great function.

Mark, how do you have time to work on sermons when you spend so much time here helping all of us? :-)

Give them a call. Their return policy is great, and you sound like a good candidate for the future cross grade. Let them know what you have shared with us, and they will get you fixed up...you just might have to wait a bit :-)
Wow, nothing in my Logos install looks or works like the one Mark is doing the demo with. Feeling poorly now, darn again.
I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I watched Mark's videos on Logos 4. It's as though he has totally different software! Now I feel like that all over again! I got a great

Oh and Mark Barnes is cool, I love his highly informative videos - I learned a lot!

Mark's videos saved my sanity when I was careening aimlessly through the L4 learning curve. More videos, if you can Mark!!!

  • Re: Reading Plan for Individual Sections of a Book

I can set Pinks book up in a reading plan as you did, that's not a problem. However, I only want to plan out a series of chapters in the book, like I can do with Augustine's On the Trinity, which is a selection within another book (vol. 3 of post-nicene Fathers).

  • Reading Plan for Individual Sections of a Book

I was able top set a reading plan in vol.3 of Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers (Augustine On the Trinity) through a dropdown that let me set the perameters, but Im not seeming to be able to do the same thing in Pink's Life of David. Is it possible to set a reading plan to complete only a certain section of a book that you want to read, or is this just

  • Question about notes

I was wondering how I can make a note on a biblical word from a word study and then have it brought back up again if i am doing a word study in the future on the same word. So, for example, I am working on hesed in Ex.36, and I complete a note on the word. Later on when I am doing a word study on hesed in another passage, I'd like to be reminded that

  • NIV 11 download

Just FYI, but I had noticed that I had not gotten the NIV 11, so I called Logos. The reason was that my upgrade to Logos 4 was still a LE package, rather then the KF package, thus no NIV 11. It was free to upgrade, but anyone who has the NIV 84 as part of a package but has not received the 2011, you might verify that your package is correct. Sean

  • Re: How can I reference a clipping for future study?

I just have to say that, for me, this is huge! One of my theology professors was a chronic cross-referencer. He had a card-catalogue that would rival small libraries, all filled with cards that he had painstakingly filled out, cross-referencing subjects, verses, and quotations. To be able to read through books and set up this cross-referencing with

  • How can I reference a clipping for future study?

Is there a way to tag clippings so that in future studies on a similar topic Logos will direct me back to something i have already saved as a clipping? As an example, i was recently reading a book on prayer, and there was a section on prayer in Second Temple Judaism. I saved it as a clipping, but would love to have it show up, perhaps in the passage

  • Tip window

I would really like to see something like the tip window that L3 had incorporated back into L4. In L3, we could set the information that would appear when we hovered over a word, and the window would popup with all the assigned info there (ex., Gr word, parse, Strongs, LN, etc, definition, and so on). I'm just not digging the L4's current popup window
