Thanks for a morning chuckle!

Oooh... and after much searching and gnashing of teeth, tee hee, I chose Bryan Litfin's "Western Civilization: Greeks to Aquinas". Looking forward to getting to that at some point. Thanks Logos for adding real VALUE to the money we spend! God bless you!
-
Thanks Dave... yes, later my library finally showed I had added new books (to the tune of about 200 of them, woohoo!). I've also been able to go start looking for my free course with the link and coupon. Thanks folks!
-
Sigh... and now, I've managed to "Permanent Delete" the email I got from Logos thanking me for my purchase and telling me the code for my free MobileEd course... help anyone? Or is it an individual code for each person? My email is in my profile should it be something that ought not to be shared on the entire group if you want to send it to me that

Thanks Graham! Nope, you seem to have understood my question!

... but I am not noticing any real difference in my software. Is it because all it did was unlock books for me since: 1. I had already purchased the full features upgrade 2. Automatic downloading in my software is turned off - I download resources only as I am going to use them to conserve hard drive space, so there's no reason for anything to change

That could be cool, a bit like Britannica's "Propaedia" - the Outline of Knowledge, as they call it.
-
WOW. Well done, Ma'am!

Hey folks! Nothing to radical or anything, but I'm just curious: this is what I see when I start Logos, WRT to the "Butler's Lives of the Saints" card. But, I'm 99% sure it used to show me the saint's name instead, not the date, as the main title, as it were. Am I right or was I just imagining things? No offense will be taken if I AM nuts, I'm over

I am thrilled, since my main usage of Logos has been as my World's Largest Personal Encyclopaedia!
-
So today I see in my Book of Common Prayer that we are honouring James Hannington, Bishop of Eastern Equatorial Africa. "Who was he?", I wonder, being the sort of person who just loves to learn for the sake of learning. Logos 8: select his name, right click, search Everything and find mostly references back to the Book of Common Prayer. That wasn't

Yup! I was happy to see: Factbook expansion - Woohoo! Let's face it, I pretty much use Logos as the World's Largest Encyclopaedia anyway soo hooray! Dark Mode... ooooooooh, preeeeetty. That sort of "sermon prep/management/preaching integration thing" (which I'll start using for teaching notes and all that when I am teaching) Counselling Guide (for those

Could it have something to do with Light/Dark Mode? I switched mine to Dark Mode but have had to switch it back for now: one of the documents I'm reading on a course has been highlighted as one of the course readings, and it made the text readability non-existent. But thanks for the dark mode logos...overall it looks great!

Hey Faithlife folks, can I just thank you and recommend your outstanding courses to everyone here?! I'm just taking the Introduction to the Apocrypha course with Dr. deSilva. Other than the fact that's completely fascinating, the cool thing is that Logos has incorporated some training videos with it as you study, to help you better use your software

"Thank you, Mark, and everyone else for your suggestions. I will continue to keep plugging away with watching the tutorials. Blessings, Jim" One other thing I'd suggest is definitely watch while you do - so when the person says "we're going to go do this, this and this....", make sure you have logos open, pause the video, and you yourself go do that

J'ose citer Mr. Braems, mon professeur de français au Lycée Français de Bruxelles en 1983, un home élégant, qui était passé par la Sorbonne et qui adorait le passé anterieur... "Quoi?! Un Francophone?! C'eut été magnifique! "

You can all ignore this... of course this morning I wake up and it's started updating the card properly... sigh.

Hi folks! I'm currently doing BI291 - Apocrypha course (side note: it's super interesting!) and have been for a couple of days now. I'm way down in the section called "The Apocrypha: A General Introduction" but my card still shows on my desktop as "Syllabus". Any thoughts? Other courses I've done have shown me where I'm at as I went along... Thanks
