• Any indicative time frame for CUV (Simplified) Reverse Interlinear?

Hi, Now that TCUV Reverse Interlinear has been released as part of the Chinese Bronze Package, may I know roughly when we can expect CUV (Simplified) Reverse Interlinear? I normally use English and Simplified Chinese. While I can use TCUV, it is inconvenient: When working on my Word, Powerpoint, etc, my Keyboard input is normally Simplified Chinese

  • Suggestion: New Logos Public Domain version of Chinese CUV Bibles

Hi Logos, Can you consider the following suggestions for the new Logos Public Domain version of the CUV Bibles: Can the verse Numbers be smaller (superscript) like what you have in the original CUV Bibles from UBS, I find the current numbers too BIG and BOLD and very distracting Can we have similar paragraphing for the Simplified 简体 version; I noticed

  • Re: Bug: CMD+F Search in Chinese Bible

Bradley, So, is this a bug for these 2 Chinese Bible? Don't seem to have this problem with the 2 new Logos Public Domain Chinese Bible or other English Bibles that I am using. Just want to check that it is not a problem only on my machine. Thanks.
Reindexing has nothing to do with this problem. Please don't run that command unless you're explicitly instructed to by a Faithlife developer (otherwise, it's probably just wasting your time).
Oops ... noted, I shall not run re-indexing again by myself.

  • Bug: CMD+F Search in Chinese Bible

Hi Logos, I encountered this for a while, just unable to capture a repeatable case. Decided to spend some time this morning to catch this bug. I am running Logos for Mac 7.3.0.0041. I am using “誇大” as an example for TCUV (the one with RVI - ZH-CUNPTRD) ... I can repeat the same problem with "夸大" in CUV (Simplified text - ZH-CUNPSMP), the following are

  • Suggestion: treat "看哪" as a compound word in TCUV Reverse Interlinear

Hi Logos, First, I am thankful for the Chinese RVI, I waited for 14 years Second a suggestion: I was looking at the equivalent of "Behold" in TCUV based on the Original Text where it functions as some form of Alert for me to pay attention to, in the LN 91.13 sense. In this context I thought (as a lay person) it might be make more sense in the following

  • Re: SUGGESTION: Traditional / Simplified Chinese switch

Actually, another concern is cluttering up of our already cluttered Library . If there is duplicate, I will keep the simplified one and hid the traditional one. Apart from the various Chinese Bibles, I only found 3 to hid for now. May be Logos can give us an easier way to identify the duplicate; sorting by name may not work well as simplified and traditional

  • Re: Bug: Search using Chinese Reverse Interlinear (Lemma and LN)
It's possible there was some kind of indexing problem on your system. Please try running the following command to see if that fixes the problem once indexing completes: reindex LLS:ZH-CUNPTRD
Bradley, Thanks "reindex LLS:ZH-CUNPTRD" did the magic it is working now

  • Bug: Search using Chinese Reverse Interlinear (Lemma and LN)

  • Re: Fonts used in RCUV is different from CUV

Philip, Now that Chinese Bronze is up (Congratulations and Thank You!) Can Logos look at possibility to make the fonts use consistent, or may be provide us an option to select the fonts we want. I tried your global default font suggestion: Some Chinese Bible have fixed fonts and do not honor global default settings For those that honor the global change

Philip, Just read the email you sent on Chinese Bronze. Thanks While I understand that Reverse Interlinear (RVI) for OT is delayed (it is massive amount of work), can you confirm that at least RVI for NT is available. I noticed the Chinese Text "中文聖經新譯本(繁體) Chinese New Version Bible: Traditional (CNVT)" is going to delayed. So, I am hoping that at least

Jun Peng, Thank you for your labor of love to flag all the problematic characters. Hopefully Logos and the publisher can sort it out as soon as practical. With the imminent release of Logos Bronze (Chinese) that comes with the Reverse interlinear, likely more people who use the Chinese Bible will start using Logos

Lawrence, I was looking for use cases to proof my point ... instead, I found these case that shows that your proposed search results is better for these 2 examples “一载、二载、半载” ... time, times and half a time "金、银、铜" ... Gold, Silver, bronze

"看,见" OR "看 见" should NOT return hits for 看见 as I have illustrated in the earlier posts that 看 and 见 is actually part of their respective compound word "观看" or phrase "见有一块非人手凿出来的石头" from Daniel 2:34 .
I don't know if this is possible. If it is, I think it will be complicated to implement
Some of the Logos 7 features are not ready for the Chinese editions yet. Therefore, this Chinese Bronze edition will still be on Logos 6. All of our other languages like German, Korean...etc. are all still on Logos 6 features. We hope to upgrade our all of Chinese editions to Logos 7 next year. Thank you for your patience

Lawrence + Philip, http://community.logos.com/forums/t/133070.aspx My post on beta for over 10 days ago on the same subject matter, it is probably lost in the midst of all the new beta 7.3 discussion, so, I thought I should post here to ask if Lawrence see my reply to his questions on preference of search results on multi word/char across punctuation
