I've been a bit absent from the forums for a few months or more (hello :) ) and I've not really used the Android version of "Bible", just the desktop version so I was unaware of the strides made...STUNNING! is the word I'm using for the progress made..simply stunning. On my tablet it's smooth, fast, stable, and all of the improvements (offline searching

Well....I made a mistake. I was cleaning my laptop and deleted a bunch of tmp files. Unfortunately included in the temp files was something that Logos 4 needs to install. It keeps looking for Logos4.msi but of course can't find it and the install fails. I tried to delete all traces of L4 on my machine to see if I could just start fresh and it won't

Yep...that was it...the indexing. Whew!
-
this HAS to be because I'm indexing...I get no search results at all!

Hi, I think that either I'm doing something wrong or the beta 7 has a problem. I was just noticing how much more responsive b7 was so I decided to right click on a word to see how snappy a search was. I chose a morph search as you see in the screen shot and got no hits but should have given that the search was a right click from a word that's in the

I don't remember what app it was...sorry.

Thanks Philana, I didn't know that. Ward...yes...I'm stuck with carrying my Dell laptop around.

I had a funny thing happen to me. I was at a wrestling tourney waiting for my wife to get back from the car and had her Kindle fire on the table by me. A man came up to me (making conversation) and started talking about apps and mentioned that he love his bible app on his tablet. I was just about to mention Logos when he said..."do you know why I love

I guess that did it (freeing up 6gb)..yipee! Thanks for the help!

Any good ideas?
Robert, I know you are not a beginning PC user, but have you deleted all but the most recent restore point? That may free up enough space. Once indexing is completed, there probably is not enough free space to defrag the .idx file. It may be in 10,000 fragments. I've found Moving
The indexer constantly monitors free disk space while it's running. What's likely to have happened is that the temporary files generated during indexing have used up all but 1GB of the disk. Since it's unknown exactly how much more free space will be needed to complete indexing, it aborts the process (to avoid completely

I'm trying to install on my wife's laptop and keep getting an "insufficient disk space, you must have at least 1gb free to index" and we've got twice that free.... Any good ideas?

that's good to hear Dave... )

thanks guys...as soon as my battery is charged I'll check for the little circle.. :)

I'm frustrated. I have an android tablet with L4 on it and without the internet it's close to useless for even the most basic searches...basically just reading a bible is all I can do IF I've remembered to download it before getting to church as the church I attended today had no internet access. I might be missing something but it seemed like searching

I'm still confused.... I started highlighting with the short cut keys and here is the result...I guess I don't get the functionality....why would I want a note file of "words" that I highlighted? How is that helpful?
-
I've been struggling with this and noticed something. When you apply a highlighter color via the assigned hotkey it's not assigned to any note...it's independent! it's only when you right click the highlight and choose "add a note to...." that it's hooked to a particular note file. That SEEMS to be what's happening.. Not true...it just goes to another
-
I now realize that my old system of notes and highlights just won't cut it; I had "light colors" and "bold underlined" as pallets because I just needed a description of what the highlight looked like...but now that they are integrated into notes...there must be something more meaningful to organize notes and HL's. Do you start a new note file with a

I've been sort of taking a break from the forums for a while and while I DO come back and read a bit, I haven't really posted but I wanted to say that i hadn't realized that "heading text" was now implimented for finding topics in collections and also I wanted to comment that the latest beta is pretty darn snappy on my old tired machine... I appreciate

I DO notice!! Thanks Bradley and team!
