Thank you so much for the search ability! I appreciate it. I'll report any issues :)

For another data point I did this test. Machine: 4 year old Dell 1745 running Windows 7 home premium with a 2.3 duo core processor / ATI 1mb video / 6gb ram. Results: Ran the bible study fine; it took 15 seconds for the grammatical section to populate; clearly the machine was working hard. Expanding the "to say" section took 20 seconds to populate the

George, have you ever heard the true story of the guy who witnessed on "George Street" in Australia? You might want to give it a listen. he was described as "acosting" people, "attacking" them, being "obnoxious" "rude" and all manner of things...also kind, and loving.... But the bottom line in this story is that this man witnessed to people for 20 years

And another first....I agree with Kevin!
Another sugestion would be to add an option to open the app in offline mode.
It looks like I have to do some rethinking of my haphazard/random highlight approach also
-
Thanks Thomas...that was it....no indicator...

OH how I WISH i was retired!
-
that's exactly what happened! Thanks Jacob!

I was finally able to log in this morning and my new beta note files had several "unavailable resource" errors in the notefile/highlight file. I clicked on the hyperlink, it opened the window "you don't own this but you could!" and then i clicked on the logos.com link to see what the resource was...and an error popped up that it couldn't fine that resource
-
No...that might be the issue. I'll check again after a successful login.
-
I'm guessing that the note file icons are supposed to represent whatever color they are in the resource? Also, does anyone else have an "unavailable resource" issue on some of their highlights?
-
Well, I realized that I can work offline for awhile to check out the beta so all is not lost...
-
Well...it's good to know it's not just me but argg!! Not on a beta release day!! and not on such a huge leap of a beta!!!! NO!!!!! :)

I tried to sign in and i keep getting the "the username or password were not accepted by Logos.com" error on the sign in screen. I'm connected to the internet, I checked my username and PW on Logos.com; it was successful...but I can't sign into L4.... Any good ideas? Edited to add: i updated to the latest beta via the link and that still didn't help

I'm going to have to chime in here. Because of my needs; I don't mind having limited access to my library while offline if I've not downloaded my whole library, but being able to search while offline is something that I'd really like to have...it's very desireable.

In my experience, just the mention of the Council of Nicea and the professor in the film/book mentioning it caused people to parrot Dan Brown's party line. It's not that they had knowledge of the Council, but now they had some "soundbyte" to parrot in their rebellion of Christianity...that's about as deep as most people go with this stuff...just enough
Sorry; I did not mean closing running books, but actually exiting Logos. That is one thing I have not liked about Android. Several Android programs have a menu item named "Exit" for exiting the program. That I would like.
Actually, having these apps ready is a "feature" of Android, not a liability....there is

Anxious to see this...thanks Bob!
Why not an option to avoid the Home Page altogether, as with PC/Mac L4? That is my preference.
k Me too...I'd opt for "last used" as a default.
