This is what I'm wishing for....(to make it clear....it should have said "all from list of hits returned" or something.)
-
Kevin, I tried Josephus..and it worked...but none of the others did....it was very frustrating.... It would seem that an option to populate the "found" resources would be a valuable feature...trying to figure out what the resources are named....trying to figure out what to type....making a temp collection just to have these display? Not something I
-
Kevin, yes....i realized that but what a hassle! I ended up opening up all of the resources and then i guess I could put them all into a collection but that's quite a kludge...don't you think?
-
I generated a passage list from a huge paragraph from and entry in BDAG. I got hits from bibles and other sources like Josephus, and Philo...but I ran into a major problem. The oddball stuff wouldn't populate the list until I typed the name into the box (of course) but getting that name into the box has proven to be an exercise in frustration. I opened
-
Ok...this was an exercise if frustration! I was trying to add all of the resources that were not showing a verse and failed. The "guessing" engine kept messing me up and populating the wrong thing....I finally had to just quit. What do you think of an option to "choose all resources" or something like that where whatever is on the list is put into the
-
Oh......!! Duh!! I get it...it cannot display because of the resources I've chosen to display....arggg!! Ok...thanks Kevin....that solved it!
-
Rick, You shouldn't feel weird about what you wrote above...you are right...these are tough times and things that a person must work on and maintain for free often go away....that's a valid concern. My hope is that Logos is around for a loooonnnggggg time..... :)
-
I was compiling a passage list and right clicked BDAG and chose a whole paragraph of references...I tried to add these to a passage list via "from clipboard" and when I did....the references came over but not the actual passages themselves... Is this a bug, feature or what?
-
Dom, Yes...lol...that's the aspect that I'm following (though not this particular article) I'm following a discussion about what's in Erasmus' text and his choices.... But I realized, that I didn't actually HAVE a copy of Erasmus' text (I don't even know if there is one available) or whatever. All of the TR's that I have are different in someway and
-
I'm following a discussion about Erasmus version of the NT and was wondering if there was a Logos text that follows Erasmus' text exactly? I have a lot of TR versions but I'm not learned enough to decide if one of them is identical to the Erasmus text. I know some of you smarties can help me
-
I don't have a bit of problem with Bob's policy...when (or IF) they decide that they can or want to make an official version of the official LDS scriptures...i'd be willing to pay for them...but until then....I'm going to attempt to make PBB's.
Seriously they overcharge for free books
You MUST be kidding right? You cannot seriously be comparing a static book with a tagged, searchable electronic book right? Apples and oranges. I guess the assertion of "overcharging" is subjective and in my mind...they don't over charge because I cannot think of another piece
but come to think of it that would be impossible.
Now THAT'S funny!

I'm being persecuted...by being deprived of my Android device I'm just about ready to be an entry in the new Foxes book of martyrs.... Just some very dry humor....I guess it was way to dry....
-
Waaa....I'm sending my Transformer in to the shop for a speaker fix...and I'm going to be left with only my little ol' android phone to use Logos beta on....:( Sniff....sniff....that's really going to be hard....talk about Christian persecution....
-
Oookkkk....it's here....now explain what you're referring to some of us are not as sharp as others....
-
and I'm pretty sure that I'm not always right, or know the answer.
But you could be wrong about that! Congrats Dave....thanks for being so helpful!!
-
Yes...In a way...but wouldn't that still be a sorting column or data point? I guess it's the way you look at it... :)
-
I did the following morph search in 1st John (@N OR @V) and chose analysis view. When I tried to filter by book and chapter they don't appear. I can get other headings to appear...lemma, or result, or whatever....it seems like they all work except "book" and "chapter" I tried this with ESV and NASB and with 1st John and 2nd Peter.

Scott, in my limited experience, getting a parsing error usually means that the app is not supported on your OS...and 2.0 is very old....can you update?
