New issue that I just experienced: I noticed that 9.2 was released and attempted an Update Now, that didn't see an update. I then downloaded the Logos Setup and when running it, it throws an error that Windows needs to be updated to install.

A quick scan of this thread reminds me of why I have cut back.... While I did upgrade to L9 Silver Reformed - primarily for the Feature Set - the purchase gymnastics that many have had to go through to get the best prices for their upgrades is ridiculous. Like others have stated, the advertised minimum 15% is not factual as most upgrade options I had

For those feeling sticker shock... And may think or listen to comments about it being new to Logos - I date back with Logos quite far... I remember the first version of Libronix coming out - so I've been around a long time with Logos... I've seen a lot of good and some bad in how features were removed that people paid for, pricing has, especially in

[quote user="Andrew Batishko (Faithlife)"] [quote user="Frank Sauer"] In relation to these "All the" features - I notice that they are listed as General Reference and then the same title as a Dataset. What is the difference between the General Reference and the Dataset? As not all datasets have a matching General Reference - is there something unique

[quote user="Paul Unger"] I'm getting persistent crashes for LogosIndexer.exe for a while now... I've been thinking about updating (I'm still running Logos 8.8 in WINE 4.18 and it won't update on its own), and figure this is as good a time as any, but not quite sure how to go about it. I used Rik's method when I first installed Logos (the instructions

Joe, I really appreciate you assistance and not coming at me with a hard sell in any way! Thank you!

Thanks for the input. Knowing that Faithlife employees are active in the forums, I was hoping to hear from one of them.... As for expiring each month... My order history shows different. Many times I was using the codes in mass, around once a quarter. So unless, something changed, it appears to be punishment for not continuing the annual subscription
-
I wasn't aware that the monthly free book codes expire.... Looking at my order history, it looks like I missed out on somewhere between 3 and 5 months worth... If they don't expire, the only other thing that I could think of, is that they became invalid because I did not renew my yearly subscription - if that is the case... I lose something I already

You can try the instructions I posted above. It has fixed similar issues.

[quote user="Kevin Moore"] Thanks for the quick reply. I'll need to try later - looks like we're facing a fire evacuation around here so I'll need to go offline very soon. After contacting Logos via chat and being lied to.... Then contacting via phone and having the same problem.... Waiting for a supervisor to call me back... Basically Logos does block older versions of the apps from accessing the servers.... Just another reason to not give any further $$$ to the company - it would bother me less, if I wasn't lied to
-
Same here. Just had to do a reset and installed the correct Logos app from the Logos wiki and I'm told it's a bad password or email. The same login works fine everywhere else. Either a glitch that needs to be fixed or Logos is blocking logins from older apps , which would be another reason to not give them another dime

Here is a guide that was put together and has worked for most who use it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Gms_Bc2Q_OOH3G5lmP6twXnqiSWxrFFT7lCN3nRyymw/edit [quote user="Darcy Roberts"] Mr. Ring, Darcy Roberts here. Quick PSA for our Logos Linux users - the WineHQ team has fixed the printing issue with version 5.11!!! If you upgrade to 5.11, you will still see the error under the "Page" section of the Print/Export module - ignore it and click print - it works, as does the "Properties" link to allow changing page size, orientation and duplex printing options.

I found an issue that I haven't yet experienced. I had been running 64bit across the board, but for a couple months have been dealing with some graphical glitches. The glitches would have a black box covering the pop-up boxes that show the library loading and on exit. At times, it would also randomly cover my layout with a black box that once tapped

Paul, You may be experiencing an issue with the Library Catalog. I have noticed a few instances of this happening lately after any resource upgrades and/or new resources added to the library. It appears that this has caused the indexer to run continually without ever completing and was not fixed with the workaround that I posted earlier in your reference

Very much appreciated Bradley!!!
