  • Re: Request for testing: CEF panels in 9.10

I know that Linux is not supported officially by Faithlife, but figured I'd post this as we are working on it - in case it may lead to issues for Windows users down the road. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52380 Starting with Logos 9.10, we've seen the issue listed here and the first post contains a video of the glitch. All Logos versions prior

A quick FYI, in case some did not know - when you vote, you can vote 3 times - so, if you only used one vote, you can go back and add 2 more. That could get us well into the Top 10

  • Re: One More Request for Forum Views

Most forums are run via 3rd Party application or extension. Faithlife is the only forum community that I use, that doesn't have the option to view only those forums that a user subscribes to - typically another view option on the main forums page. It would be a surprise if that option is not available.

  • One More Request for Forum Views

For some, the ability to select what forums they view, would improve efficiency and activity. If logging on to the forums allowed to just viewing the categories/forums that a user is interested in, it opens the door to better visibility and interaction. There are a number of forums, that I personally would turn off, and a number that I would not - paring

  • Re: Logos on Linux - please vote it here it really counts

A big thank you to those who have voted! Now, if I may give a little encouragement to invest a few minutes into this project - by logging in at WineHQ and submitting 3 votes for Logos 9. As John stated, the more votes, the more attention that the application receives from the developers - the added attention along with the assistance with valuable input

This capability, along with the ability to choose which Sub Forums are visible to each user have long been desired. It would be nice if it were implemented at some point.

Hi Steven, Have you checked Office Depot - I usually find a nice bargain there on laptops. https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/7961437/ASUS-VivoBook-15-F513-Laptop-156/ https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/5507988/Lenovo-IdeaPad-3-Laptop-156-Screen/ Both of those are currently on Sale for $500 and should run Logos 9 without issue.

  • Re: Attention Wordsearch Instant Verse Study Fans

I second Graham's suggestion - creating a layout with the Bibles and Commentaries you would want your search to include - then making adding them to a link set is the way to go. You could even name and save the layout as Instant Verse Study I personally have one setup up that includes the Passage Guide and can add more resources to it and link them

Would really appreciate some advice - just some pointers on things to read would be a start, but I'm really not sure how to get past that error. The original Sermon File Add-in is the tool I miss the most from Libronix. It allowed me to keep my sermon files as I prepare them and not need to add information to my document to import into Logos. The information was entered into the module, not my personal file. [quote user="Nathan Parker"] Keep me posted on the Linux port via Wine. I plan to do more with Linux in the future. If you can live without that, overall Logos on Linux runs

It was fun the one time I was on a Logos Beta test... I'd always be interested as well. Plenty of IT background and use both Windows and have been working on the port to Linux via Wine for a couple years.

Working with Bradley, we were able to establish a workaround for those who also have a working Windows install. There is an issue with the AutoComplete database not completing on the Linux install. If you have a fully indexed Windows install you can copy the two files from the AutoComplete directory into the same directory in the Logos Data wine folder

Update: I'm running the Logos 9 Indexer on a system with 12 gigs of Ram and I setup a 24 gig swapfile to add significant swap resource for the process. SSD and i7 processor, so system power and resources should not be a problem - never have been on Windows, nor on any version of Linux up until very recently. Now even the overkill of system resources

Been playing around a little with L9 and the indexing issue is a major issue. The Win7 workaround does not work as of this time for a library with more than a small amount of resources. The parse_url error that spams like crazy is: 0134:fixme:path:parse_url failed to parse L"Libronix.DigitalLibrary.Utility.resources" I tried running the indexer with

New issue that I just experienced: I noticed that 9.2 was released and attempted an Update Now, that didn't see an update. I then downloaded the Logos Setup and when running it, it throws an error that Windows needs to be updated to install. Update: The issue was having the prefix set to Win7 to allow indexing and fast load times. Switching back to

A quick scan of this thread reminds me of why I have cut back.... While I did upgrade to L9 Silver Reformed - primarily for the Feature Set - the purchase gymnastics that many have had to go through to get the best prices for their upgrades is ridiculous. Like others have stated, the advertised minimum 15% is not factual as most upgrade options I had
