Another completely unreadable, unusable "ebook"... oh well, only for a dollar, not gonna say too much. I know, I know, the original efile came like this from the publisher, not FL's fault, etc, etc... oh well...

Happy New Year! 新年快樂!

Thanks Don and NB.Mick! That's really powerful (but also not intuitive from the Favorites UI). I was able to link to Kindle books (via the Cloud Reader) and local PDF/Word files in addition to Logos resources. Thanks very much!

So I did a little bit of research on this, and here's what I've found so far: Logos' Favorites can only link to Logos resources; they don't take URL's. I tried using my Firefox browser's Bookmarks as a way to bookmark all my ebooks. Bookmarking a Logos resource using its URL allows it to be opened in the Logos web app on both desktop Firefox and on

Thank you, Bernhard. I was just hoping to use Logos' Favorites to link to Kindle books and PDFs on my computer, as I use them to link to native Logos books.

I think many of us have this same problem. I'm wondering if Logos' Favorites can be used to point to Kindle books, PDF's and other files on our computer?

Thanks for the check-in and update, Andrew. Much appreciated.

Philana, Following up on this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/204969.aspx It's been 11 days since I took the time to record several minutes of the Read Aloud feature's erratic behavior at your request and sent it to you. I cannot tell if you got my email or not. It looks like either this issue has (again) dropped off from your (Faithlife

The "Bible Book Guide" in Factbook is a treasure trove of information about each of the Bible books, with links to the relevant sections of the commentaries you own in your library. It's basically like a Passage Guide but for the books of the Bible. Very well done, Faithlife! It is probably one of the best kept secrets in Logos 9... It's a bit hidden

Hi Philana, Just wanted to know if you saw this posting, and whether you've received my emailed video of the Read Aloud pain points? Thanks, PL
-
Hi Philana, I emailed the information and the video to you yesterday. Hope I got your email address correct. Please acknowledge receipt if you got it. Thanks, PL

Philana, I have recorded a 7-minute (800MB) video with my iPhone (*.MOV) and tried to upload it to this forum. Apparently the upload was not successful. I can't find your email contact. Can I email it to you via Gmail / Google Drive? The video shows: - In Full Screen Mode, the page does not turn when Read Aloud reads past the end of the page and onto

Thanks, JT. A cursory comparison shows that the "audiobooks" offered by Logos seem to be the exact same corresponding "audiobook" offered by the publisher, by Amazon/Audible, usually read by the author it seems.
-
Thanks for pointing this out to us, Disciple II. It's interesting that in some cases FL produces the audiobook without the corresponding ebook text being available in Logos. We're supposed to just listen to the audiobook without access to the text of the book.

This Study Bible has very basic outlines: https://www.logos.com/product/49646/apostolic-study-bible-notes
That is one expensive study bible
I got it from an alternative source at a much more reasonable price... it's actually pretty good.

Thanks Andrew. That's very helpful and informative. PL

Thank you Lew and KS4J!
