edited no use starting something while trying to keep it from being started. Thanks.

It's the reading plan, same bug as listed in the other thread that Chris said to look at. Taking it off of list view fixes it. Calendar view is not really a great view on this macbook air, but it will have to do until that bug is fixed. Thanks everyone for your input and help.

I am not frustrated, only the apple beta has issues, annoying, but if I am using the beta I need to expect things like this happen. I am trying to open to a blank screen, when it does open logos looks like it is doing something to my reading plan. How do I open to a blank screen?

I'd tell you what the beta release is (4.5a, beta 2?) but it just opens and hangs, reminds me of the original logos 4 for windows a couple of years ago. Worked fine until this update. No indexing happening, but I can't open or close anything I have to force close it. Hoping for an update soon. It has all the memory or cpu occupied I'd say. os x 10.7

1. I have logos on 4 computers, 2 windows, 2 apples, so beta on a couple is no big deal - I was just pointing out the problem. This is my favorite apple, so having it work would be nice. 2. Couldn't find the beta forum, so thank you for the link.

I got my own answer, so thought I'd share. Rename the reading plan on the laptop which is offline. Close the computer that is online, then restart the offline computer letting it come online, and as it syncs, it actually added a "(2)" behind the reading plan name, but it's all back to normal now. Not sure of the original cause of 2 reading plans, other

Today there were 2 copies of my bible reading plan, so annoyed, I deleted 1, which deleted both - ugh. But, I have a safe copy on my laptop, opened it up offline, but now how can I copy that plan to a new name, so when I go online it will not delete it, but create a new one? Any ideas?
I am seriously thinking about purchasing a Mac Book Pro: 2.4ghz Intel Core Dual Processor, 3mb shared level 2 catche with 4GB of 1066Mhz DDR3 SDRAM.
But, why buy that when the I3, I5, I7 quads are available for Macbook pros? If you are going to spend money for a macbook, get the better processor. That is my opinion

Going to skip this beta, wait until release tomorrow - thank you all for posting!

Bradley, what are you doing working on a Sunday morning - hope they pay you overtime!! That fixed it, thank you. I had actually tried running the repair option earlier, but did not know to delete the file first.

I have this beta running on 2 other computers with no problem, but when it updated on this computer, it now crashes on startup. It will start up to a blank screen, but then when I try to open a layout, or anything really, it crashes. Right now I am rebuilding the index, but not sure what else to do. The log mentions error 9992, yesterdays log gave a

But we can still use this thread to pad out post counts, right?

I think you mean "losers", a "looser" is one who unties something. And yes, we could use it in sentences like, "Look at all the Lusers on the forum trying to get their post count up".
So if I understand correctly, if I did untie something I would be a "Luser looser" But I I just wanted
I prefer Logos Users, or Lusers for short.
ummm .... Lusers = loosers??
Sorry if this disappoints anyone, but library.logos.com was a bit of a back-burner experiment. We plan to leave the site up for the foreseeable future, but we are no longer actively developing it. We made the decision to go with a simpler interface for web access to resources, and http://biblia.com/ is partially the result

I've kind of ignored library.logos.com for awhile, it was fine but didn't really wow me, and not all that necessary for me (I thought). Today, just reading the last few posts, I surfed on over and .... WOW! Not all the guides or tools are there yet, but the passage guide worked great for me, the columns worked well, and I did some word studies also
I was thinking of some ways to incorporate my past sermons into my Logos, but didn't want to double the work if there's going to be a good feature for sermons in the future.
You should probably wait until you see the new feature before you do any work to put your sermons into L4, you will be at least doubling your work
Sure, the File Menu could be better organized, but I disagree that it needs to be completely scrapped and replaced by someone's vision of an industry standard. The File Menu contains user-generated files. How does this not make sense?
I totally agree, the file menu could use some new organization, but overall, it
So who is casting stones now?
Let me do a little of that judging you are so fond of, or maybe stone casting, just depends on how you want to look at it - you are a jerk Bill. I mean that with all the constructive judgement I can muster towards you.
