  • Re: Mark Driscoll Sermon Archive - I think I want a refund

Just to stay on topic, and thanks for those who tried - I read through maybe 10 sermons. The 2nd Timothy ones were just not good, rambling and he keeps talking about his life being too busy, too much going on, and it shows in the sermons (the second or third one he admits he has no access to his library or computer, so I am not sure how he prepared

Another thread says it well - "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. ( Col 4:6 )". http://community.logos.com/forums/t/18853.aspx I know I used the words horrible or awful about Driscoll's sermons, but not about him. Let's just end this thread before it gets ugly - and we say

I did not mean to bash on Driscoll, I actually have listened to and gotten something out of some of his podcasts, I don't really care if you like him or not, it's not what I asked. (Following line is edited, the original was a little harsh) In my original question, I tried to word it to ask specifically about the resource to avoid a bash on Mark Driscoll

  • Mark Driscoll Sermon Archive - I think I want a refund

I am preaching through 2nd Timothy, so as a resource I read through the Driscoll sermons on 2nd Tim - they are aweful. "All about me me me, my life is hard, I am so important, but here are 3 points you can get from this passage" would be my summary of his sermons I've read. He says he is going through a rough patch, but..... Maybe 2nd Timothy is his

I agree, it would be nice to hear of Bob and crew are considering running Logos on ANDROID. I guess it's a given that a bunch of people who are constantly taking apart words to do study, would take apart my original question and make sure I knew that I did not explain it correctly. I guess it does not matter that I was talking about ipad competitors

Thanks for responding, I have given up on any feedback in this area, at least until an iPad competitor came out with something running the Google operating system. The iPhone and iPad have apps for their operating system, and the new google phones do not work in the cloud, they have apps that run on the google operating system. The question still is

  • Is Logos going to develop an app for the Google operating system

Seems like all the iPad competitors are going to go with the Google operating system (Dell has an iPad like device coming out with it for example, there are other rumors about this), so does Logos think it is worth the effort to develop an app for that operating system? Just curious.

All of this talk of privacy in a public forum with your name attached to it just doesn't make sense to me. Without access to logo's files, I know that you use L4, you use notes or prayer lists, or ... I know even more info about you in that many of you list websites on your tag lines, and I also know even more by clicking on your name. Knowing this

I only have the 16, about 8 is filled up, mostly with books, and some files. Very little music on it now. Have an iphone with 16 also, and keep lots of music on that, and it is not filled up, although getting close. So far I have not regretted getting the 16.

It seems to me that with your set up, L4 should run pretty fast. There are a couple of things that I do, especially on my slower computers, but even on my brand new intel i5 2.79GHz quad core that help make L4 faster. This is not scientific, just my observations. 1. Close the information tab if it is open. This thing is the biggest drag on speed that

David, I have L4 on a HP pavilion laptop, AMD X 2 X 32 2.2 GHz with 2GB memory, and it is not bad. Just to do a little trouble shooting with you, although I am not an expert, there are some much more proficient geeks in here to help you with this, hopefully they will help soon. I think the whole mindset with the iPad (and iPhone) is different than the pc or mac mindset - that is to say, I don't think an iPad is made to run a full fledged very very robust program like L4 - in it's present configuration (give it a couple of updates - then I will probably change my mind). The ipad is great, my wife and I have had to decide who
