Thanks Phil, So when you say you might disable RefTagger, do you mean just here on the site or globally for all sites that use RefTagger?

same here

I have a bid in under $20, and am watching. If it goes live.

Thanks for enduring the forums for sake of n00bs like me.
We can make you the scapegoat ... But I'm adjusting to life with forums so well that newsgroups are beginning to look old hat!
Hey, that is good news!
Always on some horse, unless it's you making the point. Sheesh.
No need to be offended brother. I was making a generic statement recounting the history of the Mac version as I remember it. If I intended the comment for you, or anyone in particular, I would have named you directly. Sorry that I was not more clear

Thanks Bob for your explanation. I think it is prudent for us users to remember that there are many ways to reach a goal. All too often, I find people believe that "their way" is the "only" way, and anyone not doing it "their way" is failing. I doubt very few, if anyone, reading has created a successful company selling Bible software, so we will simply
Perhaps Logos could shed some light on this policy that we have overlooked?
Bob P. did this some time ago. Please read his post since this has already been resolved http://community.logos.com/forums/p/87/677.aspx#677

We must also keep in mind, that Logos cannot do anything without the publisher's agreement. We can want it. Logos can want it. But if the publisher does not want it... it wont happen. I am sure this all takes quite a bit of effort on Logos' part to negotiate deals and royalties, etc... So if someone really wants a book, post a suggestion here, send

I am using it for my Doctoral dissertation. I find that Logos footnotes are inconsistent (especially with some older third party publishers) and the Journals from Bible.org, don't provide a complete reference. I tend to either enter my own info (to be safe) or I import from the Library of Congress.

wish i could do it... it looks interesting thogh.
I asked this about a month ago (I think) on the newsgroup, but maybe the forum has reached others. I am considering getting the Accordance Bible Software. They have a lot of Dead Sea Scrolls resources currently not available in Logos. I would welcome any comments from those who use Accordance.
I tried it before. I

Bob I agree in that I am not wanting another word processor. It would only end up being a poor version with a lot of bloat that would slow loading. I agree, multiple font support is not necessary (except for other languages)... but why bother supporting different styles of fonts? That just seems silly for a note taking system. I do, however, think a
Joe. Thanks. I'm going to try this. I already interact with Yahoo and Google groups this way. I really find the web forum hard to navigate with any efficiency but I like seeing what people are asking and chiming in when I can. I just need to do it with more efficiency than this particular "very pretty" web forum format allows
And this is supposed to be easier?
it is for me :-)

I know some are upset about the forums and the loss of the newsgroups. I have been using Mac Mail with great results. Here is what I did. I subscribed to each forum on the site, so now I get emails from every post. I set my Mail program o move all forum posts to a folder named "Logos" Inside the folder, I have emails grouped by thread. Just like in

Oh, I almost forgot. The Parental controls on the Mac are far superior to the native windows stuff (unless you buy 3rd party software for windows which is another expense).
I would love to hear from those who have made a switch from PC to Mac. Are you glad you switched? Pros - cons? Is the huge price difference worth it? Most important to me is how Logos runs on the Mac. I've read a few comments in the mac forum that don't excite me. What considerations do I have to be concerned about re: OS
I have a Kindle DX. I like it very much. The PDF support is great. I have my secretary scan the relevant pages of my commentaries (preaching through Philippians now) and I can load them on the Kindle and have them all travel around with me. Very nice.
Wow, a secretary and a Kindle! As a bivocational church planter,I
I have a different though related question. How many of us actually beleives they will find a use for any more than 25% of our bloated libraries? Does anyone think that there might be a hoarding mantality when it comes to digital resources and that seeing the number increase can add to one's ego a bit?.
hmmm... not

Since we all love books, I know you are familiar with "The Shack" by William P Young. I just finished posting a 3 part interview with Paul. He discusses important issues like Postmodernism and gives some surprising comments about the Gospel. Give a listen, and let me know what you think by posting on my blog. HERE IS THE LNK TO PART 1 of 3
