• Sincere question... Re: Learning Biblical Greek

So, due to some personal issues (health) in my life, I find myself with quite a bit more time than before. I am wondering if it is possible to REALLY learn Biblical Greek using Logos and Logos resources ALONE? If this is possible, would some that are in the know give me an idea of what resources would be required to get started?

  • Logos 8 - Best way to search this...

Hi there. David visited a brook to grab his stones to use vs. Goliath. I was wondering, is there an efficient way to search Logos for all the times that David visits water? I look forward to hearing from anyone. Peace.
Hi TGC: Pardon my ignorance, but how did you get that night look in Logos?
Hi there. I use windows and am using a utility called NegativeScreen. I'm legally blind so this utility is a true blessing, in that, it allows me to get rid of the BRIGHT white backgrounds while reading. It also allows colors to come through
It does require a network connection, any chance you were offline when doing the earlier search?
No.. I'm definitely online.. (always on connection). I've tried again but same results. I'm still interested in knowing if there are resources available to learn how to do this kind of stuff?

By the way.. I tried a Search Everything search and the fuzzy search came up. I wonder why it didn't come up like yours did??
Or for a variant on Mark's answer run a Bible search for "sleep, asleep" (to pick up either term) and then sort then in Analysis view by the Sense
Thank you as well, Graham. I really like this idea too. It seems to let me use multiple terms in the search rather than a single instance of the syntax that Mark offered
Try running this in the Bible search line: <Sense = to be dead ⇔ be asleep>
Thank you, Mark! I was playing around with the Bible Sense Lexicon trying to figure out how to do this search efficiently. After reading your post, it took me a few minutes to realize you meant to put this search string into the actual

What is the best way to search for all the tenses of 'sleep' (sleeping, sleepeth, sleeps, etc) where the word refers specifically to death. Appreciate any help anyone can give me.
The problem with using invert colours on Mac is that every time I use logos I’ll have to turn dark mode off on my OS.
The same happens for me on Windows. Anything that has a native dark mode, I have to turn off NegativeScreen. Thankfully, there is a keyboard shortcut that makes it painless. Perhaps the kb shortcut

To be sure... this is a work around. It is REALLY lame that FL has not implemented a Dark Mode into their software at this point in the game. Bradley and those folks are quick and helpful to point to the 'wishful items' links. But that, literally, has been requested out there for YEARS. I'm legally blind and a DARK MODE is absolutely necessary or I

This inverts the colors but has some 'Smart Inversion' modes that allow the colors to come through without inversion. As far as I know, however, this is a Windows only utility. I'm really sorry about that. I do know that the Mac has some built in inversion capabilities. Have you tried: Press Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-8 to Invert screen colors If nothing happens
It would be great to have Dark Mode in this new version of Logos 8.
@Isaac Soon, I don't know what computer you're using. I use windows and I use a utility called NegativeScreen to create a 'Dark Mode' for Logos. Hope this helps... TGC

Ahh... I understand what you guys are asking for. Guess I just don't use the reading plan functionality in that way. I use it, well, to read. I do have a notes pane open for any questions that may arise as I'm reading. And that was simple enough to set up. I don't use it in conjunction with any other workflows. Sorry I misunderstood. TGC

You can assign whichever layout you want to the Bible Reading Plan Layout.
How did anyone think the reading plan behaviour make sense?
Have you tried simply replacing the Home Page Bible Reading Plan Layout with your old, preferred layout? Granted the default should have been this anyhow; the communications could have been better. But it really took me all of 5 seconds to set it how I wanted

  • Re: Question for FL: Why the repeated payment plan fee charges each time I add an order to my existing payment plan?

Contact customer service... If your payment plans are combined, you'll only be charged the SINGLE $5 charge per month. The confirmation emails would show a $5 fee per month per payment plan purchase... but that is to be expected if you ordered them separately. TGC
