  • Re: If I had a million dollars (to grow Logos Bible Software)...

Oh yea, I think someone already mentioned it but create a book store much like Apple's app store for the iPhone. This would allow user to create/write books using PBB (once it works with Logos 4) and the submit them and have them sold in the book store. You could do a split much like apple does with developers. While this might now be a great revenue

From reading everyone else's post made me do some thinking: 1. The ideas of a bible study institute I really like. I don't have the time or money to go to seminary. Most of the learning I have to do is either done on my own or online. I've taken several online classes and really enjoyed them. I am waiting for the videos for using Logos to study greek

  • Re: Reading Plan

I would love to be able to access my reading plan over the web. I can't use my iPhone at work and would like to be able to take some of time during breaks to keep on my reading. This would be a very useful tool and one I would love to see.

Heath, When I upgraded it was a long process to get all the resources downloaded and indexed. I had to run through it several times before my L4 mac had the same resources as L4 Win. Please be patient, it will be worth the time it takes. I'm still new to Logos and am just learning it but I love it so far!!!

  • Re: Mac or PC?

Jeremy, After you get the Mac it would probably be best to wipe the hard drive and start fresh. You don't necessarily need virus software as long as you are smart about what you are doing. There are very few viruses for the Mac at this time and unless you do something stupid you will be alright. About the only way to get the trojans are to use bootlegged

I think there are several areas that would help Logos as a company and program. I work with one of the command and control systems DOD uses. One of the biggest ways we see our user base increase is when we do training and people understand the capabilities of our software. One way that might help is have regional training teams that conduct 1 day seminars

  • Re: Be Honest - Would you buy again?

I would absolutely buy it again. I did the research before hand and was aware that the Mac version was still in Beta. I downloaded the free engine for Mac and was tracking the progress with the development. I paid for the upgrade to the Platinum version because I saw it as a great value and wanted to get it while I could still get the discount. This

  • Re: OS X Multiple Logins

Personally I would rather have it ask me for a password before installing an update. that's one of the things I liked about MAc when i switched. I don't like the computer installing anything without me knowing. I know that Logos asks you before installing but anyone could say yes. If my kids are on my MAc they could just click install and it would.

  • L4 and Mac tablet

Does Logos have any plans to produce a version for the Mac tablet if it's released? I would imagine that it would be similar to the iphone version as the Mac tablet will probably be running a modified iPhone OS from most of the speculation I've seen. it would be great to be able to use it as an eBook type reader, I really have no desire to buy a kindle

  • Re: Mac integration

I pray that they do have integration with iCal and Pages. The reason I bought a Mac is I was sick of windows and Microsoft's outrageous prices for new versions of their software. I bought a mac because I didn't want Microsoft products so please make the Mac version compatible with Mac software!!!!

You might want to wait a few months before getting a iPod touch.. Apple has a Keynote set up for the end of Jan and rumors are they will be announcing an Apple Tablet with a modified iPhone/ipod touch OS. Apple has also been pushing to set up agreements with publishers for digital content. the Kindle could be in for wake up. the thing I don't like about

Joe, have you tried other World Computing ( http://macsales.com/ ), they can tell you how much RAm the system can hold and it shouldn't cost much to upgrade it if you can. Amazon has 10.4 listed but it'll run you around $200 used and closer to $275 for new. Be blessed Stephen

  • Re: Suggestion for something special for the L4 Mac

I would like to see gestures for the track pad similar to the way they work for the Mac apps, like pinching to zoom in and out on text in the active window. I use glasses only for reading small text and with the ability to pinch and zoom I don't have to put my glasses on when a window opens with small text. I can still see it and just pinch to zoom

I've noticed some strange characters in the parallel bible and compare parallel bible tools. The bibles appear fine when I open them by themselves. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

On a Mac you can also use spaces and set up one space specifically for Logos, then use Expose in that space to manage your Logos windows. Be blessed Stephen
