  • Re: Some Hebrew words are not pronounced as words, just the letters

Well yeah, but now I think I see why you're confused. Most verbs it seems to pronounce as Qal 3ms. I don't know why it gives the root letters for some. I played with a couple of patterns but they didn't pan out.

The difference is the words that are giving three letters are verbs, or forms of verbs, in Hebrew. Hebrew uses conjugated verbs based on three letter roots (lemma). Prefixes, suffixes, vowel pointing combine to express tense, person, gender, number, etc. נוד nwd, v., sway; be aimless, homeless; indicate cooperation by shaking the head, show sympathy

It's pronouncing the lemma not the manuscript (I think this is what you've selected from the context menu?). Since the lemma for verbs are three letter roots it's reading the letters. Similarly, for other words it's pronouncing the lemma as well such as בָּאָ֔רֶץ where the lemma and thus the pronunciation is אֶ֫רֶץ.

  • Re: Hebrew reading and text selection

If this is the same issue I have sometimes on Ipad/Iphone just turn the device 90 deg, let the screen reorient, turn back vertical and it works for me. I think it just needs to redraw the screen. Yes, don't be surprised if the screen has moved in the process.

  • Re: Exporting morphology tags and verse references along side of a generated verb list...

I believe the list is by lemma not manuscript text so it doesn't really have verb morphology. What i get from word list is three letter roots for verbs. I agree that it would be nice to see both the word list function and the flashcards app upgraded.

  • Re: Trouble with Web App

I'm not a web programmer but my fist thought is that the CSS didn't load. I've had similar issues with Biblia.com on a work computer (I had lots of issues with Logos/Faithlife until corporate opened up their restrictions). Is the Macbook/Safari computer using the same firewall as your Win 10 comp?

  • Re: How does the Reading progress indicator work?

Someone who knows more than I do is welcome to correct me but I think the read indicator is driven by a time component so just quickly viewing the pages doesn't work. I use it like you've described by tagging books to be read and using the read indicator to track finished but I expect to have to set the read indicator to 100% in the desktop app when

  • Re: Kindle App vs Logos App

As for the first part, I usually have two copies of my book side by side so I can swipe sideways between them. That may mess with reading progress but I've been using "Add to Favorites" for that lately.

  • Re: Unable to close Note menu.

Yes, if the horizontal axis of the note payne is compressed too much (either by moving the deviders in L8 or compressing the whole internet window in Firefox/Chrome) the sidebar opens and cannot be closed. I usually run into this on a three vertical column layout because that is when horizontal space is most limited but I confirmed that it also happens

  • Unable to close Note menu.

If the Note window is too narrow the menu opens and cannot be closed reducing the already limited space available. I generally run Logos in a three panel arrangement with Bible, Notes, and Commentary and resize the windows as needed for my current focus. If the size of the Note window is compressed too much the three bar menu opens and cannot be closed

  • Re: Notes changes are not retained

I've run into a similar problem for at least the last two Logos versions on windows and the current web app. I'm mostly copying commentaries and anchoring into my bible with note icons. Highlight commentary, [Ctrl-C], add note, [Ctrl-V], highlight bible, add anchor. A couple of months ago I got to Church and found none of my notes appeared when I hovered

I've noticed a number of collections like this. Look at the list at the bottom under More details for the titles with stars. My collection for 2 Timothy says I have 4 new books but there are 5 with stars. In my case the missing volume is https://www.logos.com/product/5886/the-pauline-writings which is part of a collection own one volume of. Is there
