I'm sure I'm just playing head games with myself, but I'm just gullible enough for it to work.
Not at all! Knowing how you 'tick' is half the battle, I think. I employ a system in my study where I break down big tasks into lots of ridiculously easy targets. I do this because I know that I'll be able to knock off several

  • Create a Collection for LN Preview Resources?

Hi All, A quick Q: is it possible to create a collection that, which the correct search criteria, will populate each month with my LN Preview resources? I do find it hard to keep track of them each month and find that they simply get lost in the soup of my library until it is too late. Thanks in advance. Liam

  • Text Comparison Interlinear Feature?

HI all, I noticed today that my Text Comparison Tool now has Interlinear Feature (click the verse drop down and select interlinear), but I can't seem to work out what it is showing me. Can anyone help explain how the feature works? I believe it is fairly new as I have not noticed it before and can't find it in any of the Wiki or video articles. Many

  • Re: Monthly LN Free Book Recommendations

A bit caught off guard by the whole voucher system, but personally, I think this is a much better way of doing it and will cause less confusion in the long run. This month I picked up The Commentary of Dr. Zacharias Ursinus on the Heidelberg Catechism ( https://www.logos.com/product/4367/the-commentary-of-zacharias-ursinus-on-the-heidelberg-catechism

  • Re: Question re custom commentary series.

Thanks, Dave, that seems to have done the trick. If I navigate from the reference box in a commentary it still loads the EBC for Luke, but through the passage search, or when linked to a bible it loads the NAC on Luke as expected. I can certainly live with that compromise. Thanks again all.

  • Re: Question re custom commentary series.

Guys, Thanks for replies and apologies for the mistakes. Very annoying not to have spotted those before I posted!!! I've amended my OP to reflect this. A couple of things: I was referring to Carson's EBC commentary on Matthew. A slip of the keys indeed. This volume of the EBC is most certainly Vol 8. in the EBC (1984) not vol. 9... I've triple checked

  • Question re custom commentary series.

Hi All, Me again, sorry! So I've created a custom commentary series but I have a bit of a problem. Current in my commentary series I have The EBC Vol. 8 (1984) that covers Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Now when I navigate say from my commentary on John to Luke using the reference box it automatically opens the EBC on Luke, not the NAC on Luke that I have

  • Cross Reference Search Syntax for Visual Filter

Hi All, A little while ago I put together a visual filter based on the NT use of the OT data set. Well feeling a bit more ambitious I would like to try and do the same for cross references but don't know how to begin. Does anyone know the search syntax I would need to find verses that are the target of a cross reference, and the syntax to find verses

  • Re: Pillar NT or Tyndale (Whole Bible)

Thanks so much for all the helpful advice and all the encouragements. In the end I decided to get Tyndale + PNT on John by Carson, and I am very happy with my purchases. I've also decided to use the Tyndale set as the basis of a custom commentary series and subbing out titles for better commentaries that I already own (E.g. NICNT on Romans by Moo, Ralph

  • Re: Pillar NT or Tyndale (Whole Bible)

Hi all, Thanks for all the feedback. I think, despite the sale, I am going to go for the breadth of the TNT/OTC series over the depth of the PNT. At the moment, the only commentaries I have on the whole Bible are the single volume NBC and KBC and the EBC series. I'll pick up the Pillar commentary on John by Carson, which will be a good addition to the

Thanks for quick response. Some clarifications. 1. I preach in a local church, and lead bible studies but read widely and academically in my personal reading and study. I have no bones about going to academic books during sermon/study prep. 2. Base packages are beyond my budget, I have max £200 to play with. 3. Currently leaning towards TBC over PNT

  • Pillar NT or Tyndale (Whole Bible)

Hi all, Looking for some insight on the following decision. I can't decide whether to get the Pillar NT series whilst it is on sale or whether I should get the Tyndale series on the whole Bible. For context, I already own some of the Pillar series and the entire (old) Expositors Bible Commentary series. I also own Romans and Hebrews in the NINCT series
