• Re: NT use of the OT Visual Filter???

Excellent, thanks, Graham! I've now managed to reverse the process so that OT passages which are targeted in the NT are set to italic and given a capsule with the NT book reference. If anyone is interested, I've published the visual filter and highlighting palettes here: https://faithlife.com/logos-visual-filters/documents There are three documents
If you don't want to distinguish by relationship type you can simplify the search string to just be: {Label Intertext WHERE Source~ } Poking around is often a good way of learning
That was a fantastically helpful tip, Graham. It has allowed me to create a visual filter that adds a capsule stating where the OT reference
Go to a NT quotation or allusion to the OT (eg., Mt 1:23 ). Open the information pane, look under "literary typing". Right-click on the links to search these types. Save your search as a visual filter.
@Francis, Thanks so much for your quick reply. Since my OP I came up with this search string that seems to do the job

  • NT use of the OT Visual Filter???

Hi all, A question: Is it possible to create a visual filter that displays instances of NT use of the OT? I have the OTUNT interactive, sure that is pulling the verse from somewhere in terms of tags? And if such tags exist then there must be a way to search for them. Maybe I am missing something patently obvious, but I'd appreciate whatever insights
Liam I honestly do not believe customer service will have a clue about this - it's outside the script.
Hey Doc, I don't doubt that they'll struggle to give the OP the information that he needs. However, they will at least be able to acknowledge his complaint. We, on the forum, can speculate and discuss

Alex, you are more likely to get an answer emailing customer service or Bob directly. I'm not saying you'll get the answer you want/like, but you are more likely to get your concerns acknowledged.

  • Re: Web App and the Updates to Logos Now Email

I had assumed the plan was to correct any major bugs and add the missing features before a general public release. Releasing the web app without sorting out the note sync issues would be a major concern for me. Is there any chance of a short term workaround for notes? For example, web notes could be sent to a desktop document called 'web notes'. Similarly

  • Web App and the Updates to Logos Now Email

I'm going to get in there early and say that the email announcement stating that the Logos Web app is being transitioned to Logos 7 base packages is a good thing. In fact, I think it is a great move. Once it goes live to all users I think it will hopefully go from strength to strength. Personally, I like the idea of Faithlife using Logos Now to trial

Thanks for all the advice folks. I went with Bavinck in the end. After reading a couple of paragraphs from his Prologema I instantly knew I'd made the right call. I then used my birthday credit to add the Bavinck Reader into the mix.
I have a theology layout I work from Bavinck is the first resource, then 10 others.

  • Bavinck or Vos? Showdown of the Dutch Reformed!

It is my birthday tomorrow and I'm looking to add the Reformed Dogmatics by one of these Dutch heavyweights to my library. I've encountered Bavinck in secondary sources and find his thoughts fascinating but then Vos is a fraction of the price. I realise that the choice is a subjective one but would appreciate some wise counsel from fellow any logosistions

  • Re: Joh Frame Question

Hey DAL, I own all the Theology of Lordship Series and Frame's systematic theology. And yes, whilst there is some overlap, his ST is certainly not a rehashing of old material into a new format. His ST is also very practical and pastoral in places.
