Thinking about getting the "Journal of Biblical Counseling" collection. Does anyone own it? What are you thoughts? ? how often do you use it and for what? How helpful might I find it as a local church elder, family worker and preacher? Many thanks, Liam Link: https://www.logos.com/product/18545/journal-of-biblical-counseling

Hi All, I am sure that I missing something really obvious here, but cannot find it in any of the wiki articles. Does anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut to open the right mouse click context menu? You know the resource menu that has copy/paste/guide commands and lemma details, etc. in it. The windows Shift + F10 command isn't cutting the mustard

Apologies Rick, I didn't see your post before I replied last time. This is incredible helpful and has enabled to begin to create a much more focused visual filter. Thank you.
I don't believe you can do this directly by using capabilities of the Proverbs Interactive. If you look in the Interactive you will see that "Evil" is tagged as a theme and the only fields we can currently search on are "Type" and "Form". You might want to look at the Preaching Theme "Evil" - if those give you the sort

Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone would know how to begin to use the theme categories from the Proverbs Interactive to begin to create a visual filter. As a worked example, how might I create a visual filter that red underlines all proverbs that deal with 'evil'? Many thanks, Liam

Hi JoshInRi, I'm a families' worker and local church elder at a church in the UK. Though these books might not fit your brief in terms of 'duties', they are three books that I have found extremely helpful in my relatively short time [five years] in formal church ministry. My hope is that they will compliment the practical ones :-). 1. Dangerous Calling

Hi Colin, I recently purchased a Kindle Fire 7 and use it all the time for Logos. Kevin as already given an exhaustive run down of all the features so here are my 2p on usability. I find it fine for what I need, reading scripture, reading books, reading plans, making notes and doing bible studies (I attach my studies notes via document to the passage

I'd like to take a moment to say that I'm so encouraged by the humility and respect on display in this forum post (barring one or two). It is very refreshing and, sadly, sorely needed on many a Christian forum.
God bless those with divergent theological views in this matter, but I am asking please for replies that do not mention
I don't have any experience with other android tablets, but I do have experience with the Kindle Fire. I would not pay more than $29 at Christmas for it, nor would I use it for preaching! When you are preaching especially, you must be able to count on your device. That is not how I would describe a Kindle Fire.
Thanks
-
Thanks Graham that's what I wanted to know. @Alabama24 : All I'll be using it for is as a reading device (kindle books, logos books and bibles, etc.), making notes in sermons/meetings/conferences, and running my logos sermon documents for preaching. So a bottom of the barrel devices should do the job. Sadly, income limited as we are I won't be able

This is a great thread. Here is my two-pence to the discussion. --- The aim behind my system is two-fold. to save time by having all my notes interconnected across all resources by having all my notes interconnected, and by leveraging the power of logos, I am creating a powerful, yet very personal journal-come-study bible that I always have access to

Hi all, Thinking about getting a new tablet but the deal breaker is that whatever I get has to support the Logos App - specifically, the ability to view sermon documents (as on iPad, etc.). Can anyone confirm whether this feature is available for Kindle Fire? Many thanks, L

Hi all, I have heard it said (by Mike Horton, I think?) that Calvin referred to the Prophets as the covenant lawyers or enforcers. However, I am struggling to a find a quote or reference from Calvin to this end. Can anyone help me out? Blessings, L

To whom it may concern, I would like to report a bug relating to the Louw-Nida. I am unable to add a multiple resource to the LN when it is the primary resource. The multiple resource menu allows me to select a secondary resource EG. TDNT, the '+' appears in the tab but the resource never loads. Many thanks, Liam

Thanks Mark, I found the Hapax visual filter you mentioned. Problem solved! Many thanks. L
