The lack of a backup option is why I haven't started putting notes in Logos -- it's just too scary for me. Coming from the Mac side of things, we have Time Machine with it's hourly backups -- for that reason I would love a local backup option. The cloud rollback option would also be good. I can see it working similar to Dropbox's document backup system

I've been trying different ways of using the parsing helps in Logos 4 in my sermon prep. Currently, I... 1. Paste the Greek verse in my notes, separating it so that there is one word on each line. 2. Copy the lemma from the Exegetical Passage Guide, Word for Word section (easier than typing it in), 3. Type in the parsing next to that (using the EG for
My biggest issue is the requirement that a source document be in the .DOCX format. I do not use MS Word. I used it for more than 20 years (and generally like it), but when I changed over from ASCII-based Hebrew to Unicode Hebrew, the lack of full Unicode support in the Mac version of Word rendered it unusable for me. So I use

David and Chris, good work! I wish you had posted before I had bought a second monitor! Here's my modification of Chris' idea:
-
It's definitely faster than the stable version. I do have one particular crasher that plagues me a couple times a day, but the added speed and features of the beta are well worth it. Take a look at the release notes if you haven't already: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Beta_Release_Notes .

Happy day! Thanks, Cameron.

Sometimes when I click the “+” to add a commentary from the parallel resources list, Logos beach-balls for a few seconds, and then crashes. This has occurred to me infrequently throughout the 4.2 beta cycle (once or twice a day on days with moderate use). What I do (difficult to reproduce, but if you keep opening commentaries, you might get it to happen

One illustration source that I would add to Bill's list is 10,000 Sermon Illustrations. The support info is: LLS:22.0.1026 2008-10-02T13:39:15Z GS_ILLUS.lbxlls

Thanks Dave, it works now. Grace be to you, today!

I am having the same problem. I can read it on my iMac, but when I try to download it for offline reading to my ipod touch, it tries to download for a second or two [the downloading icon appears], and then I get this message: "unable to download resource lls:memmccheyne." Other resources download just fine.

Should add that it does this on both my external monitor and my imac 21.5 inch.

I have the same problem -- tried three fonts: default, georgia, and times new roman -- all were fuzzy. Tried different font sizes as well. It's off just enough to be hard on the eyes. Here's a screen shot:
-
Recently changed my document font from Helvetica to Georgia and noticed this little annoyance. Would it be possible to have an option for font in the Copy Bible Verses Syntax? Something like, "%Font=Georgia"?
So my question is for the folks with the mac system issues.. is that with any L4 or could it have to do with the level of Logos you are using.. Ie Bible Study LE Vs Scholar's Library: Platinum?.
No, it wouldn't matter what level you buy, because the levels have to do mainly with the resources (books, lexicons, etc.

For quite a while now, I have not been able to add the sermoncentral sermons, etc. to my passage guides. They just don't appear in the drop down list. I am using 4.2 beta 2 (but this happened on the stable version as well) I have "use internet" turned on. I often have sync problems (the yellow triangle appears), but this also happens when I don't have

You are very welcome.

Go to "System Preferences" and select "Keyboard" (You can type either one into Spotlight if you need help finding it). On the keyboard tab in the Keyboard window, check "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys." OR If your keyboard has an "fn" key, you can also hold it down and press the desired function key. You might want to scan through

Actually, you can, but it's a two step process: Hope this helps, Levi

Ditto: Same problem, and restarting my Mac solved it.
