This is good to hear. I can be counted as one of the ones who was initially a bit frosted with the price and upgrade options. I like what I have seen of the new features but don't need any new books at this time and am not very interested in the package changes to my Platinum Edition. I definitely don't mind paying a reasonable amount for the new data
-
I have used both a fair amount. The Kindle app is definitely behind the iOS app in many areas. As a simple Bible reader app with access to your Logos library it is fine. If you want notes, highlighting, and do a lot of original languages it will not be so fine. There is basic Reverse Interlinear lookup but I found it a little harder to see and there
Not soon and definitely after it appears for iOS (which could be soon )
Not that I doubt you but do you have a source for that info? It has been explained on the iOS side that notes and highlights are done, submitted, and waiting for release of desktop 4.5. Since desktop 4.5 is in RC now that is probably just around
The very first time you open the second pane in Logos for Android, it will either be your preferred bible (if you have a non-bible open in the first panel) or the Summarized Bible of the New Testament (if you have a bible open in the first panel). I can't speak to how iOS works, but on Android, that setting is only supposed
-
That's quite strange -- it is indeed supposed to remember the resource/location you had open in any pane you close -- I just tested it on my device here and it behaves as expected. Can you try the following? Open ESV in the top panel. Wait for it to finish loading. Open the ASV in the bottom panel. Wait for it to finish
Side loading on the Fire didn't work. Does anyone have the new beta working on a stock Fire? Thanks.
Yes, I went into settings (gear icon in menu bar) -> More -> Device -> Allow Installation of Applications and set it to on. I then navigated to the forums and followed the link to download the APK for the newest

I can second that the handle is difficult to grab.
Just to clarify, as with Jim you have a Kindle Fire?
Yes. I usually use an iPad but have been working with a Kindle Fire recently.

I can second that the handle is difficult to grab. It works well once open though. One complaint I have had with iOS too is that if you close your second split panel for a bit (think days) and then reopen it, it doesn't remember the last open resource but loads the Summarized Bible by default. When this happens to me I am usually reading a Bible verse

My wife got a new Fire for Christmas and we have experienced the same thing. The entire Logos UI becomes unresponsive to touch at times.

I would like a return of the book history ribbon bar from several versions back. This tool made it super easy for me to switch between my most actively used resources and stay linked to my current passage of interest when applicable. The history replacement while nice for it's own richness does not offer the same functionality. Recent Books in the Library

Mebin, I would be interested in doing this. How to make contact though? If you would like you can email me at rgmullen AT gmail DOT com and I will work out the details of funds transfer. I am open to other means. I also am open to other means. Blessings, Robert

Another vote for AppLib. I am primarily an iOS user but also have an Archos 7" tablet I use on occasion. I would like to have the latest beta but don't have access to the Android Market and only get an older version from the link provided.
-
I agree. The progress has been welcome but too slow. In some places we have taken a step backward. I love the split pane and offline books but also need notes and highlighting. The pagination issues is annoying. I also have a problem where I close my split pane and it forgets the book I have loaded in that pane. When I open it back up it loads the Summarize
I wouldn't satisfied with it for running the full Logos - not enough memory or power for that in my opinion.
I can't speak for everyone but when I am on the go I do my full study on my MBA. It has plenty of horsepower but I did opt for 4 GB of memory which I would recommend to everyone for the price and because
-
Michael, I have both devices and would say if your primary purpose is book reading and study the iPad is probably the best option IF you are not going to want to take notes or do advanced searches. If you do the MBA is a better options. The devices are similar in size although the MBA is just big enough to become a little bit of a problem in some situations
What is happening with the Cambridge Greek Testament? It is a far more valuable and helpful resource than this one.
David, That is exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

Thanks Rosie. I too hope that Logos will add a couple of these resources. It may be a little bit of a fringe study but I think it is worthwhile.
