• Rendering Issue on Chrome, ChromeOS

Please see the attached screenshot taken using Chrome 85.0.4183.83 on Windows 10. There is some sort of rendering issue going on here. FYI, the same issue appears on my Chromebook.

I checked the Logos 8 in the vote box but didn't see how I could vote three times. Also, once I voted, the vote count didn't go up so I can't tell if my votes were successful.

  • Re: Please share with us what the hang up is on PPB to Mobile
I doubt that the real issue is "legal."
Legality was, if IRC, a reason for it. Users who created PBBs of their copyrighted works would get housed on Faithlife's servers.

  • Re: Android App on Chromebook - A small request

David, Welcome to the forums! A number of us have asked for keystroke support in the mobile apps (iOS and Android) but it seems Faithlife wants these apps to be touch driven. It's the opposite with the desktop app. A number of use have asked for that to be more touch friendly, but Faithlife seems to be committed the traditional mouse/keyboard interactions

  • Re: MS Surface Duo and Mobile App

The Duo press briefing video showed some pretty neat stuff you can do with the Duo. I'd be interested in it if it weren't a phone. I believe they said on the video that Amazon worked with Microsoft on the Kindle app to do the spanning and such. For Faithlife, I guess it might come down to just how many of these devices sell before they modify the app

Welcome to the forums, John. Depending on your Logos workflow on the desktop, the web app might be something that could work for you on an iPad. Check it out and see if it might do what you need.

Mab, Yes, the Android app works well on the Chromebooks I have owned. I tend to get the upper-end devices so performance is never an issue, so I don't know how well it would work on the lower-end devices. I actually like the font rendering better on Android app than I do on my iOS devices.
Could you tell me what steps you followed? with the complete path of these folders I don't know if this is the case, but giving one second thought, I discovered one serious flaw with the current portable version: Wine always creates a new user corresponding to the local user, so if users between 2 different machines

I am running into an issue with installing Logos in a Debian Buster container on my chromebook. I installed Logos using the portable appimage, copied over my Data, Documents and User folders to the installation. How do I deal with this?

Packer's Knowing God was very influential in my life, particularly the chapter "Sons of God." He taught an interim session course at the seminary I attended and I had the opportunity to meet and learn under him for a week. I still have my exam that he graded by hand (I regard it ike an autograph). He gave me an "A" and only wrote the words, "You think

I have just installed Daniel's appimage in a Linux container on the new Acer Spin 713 Chromebook. This has a Comet Lake i5U processor, 8gb RAM and 128gb NVMe SSD. The script installed and is running well. BTW, for the adventurous who need a larger SSD, evidently you can install a larger SSD . However, the installation didn't create a launcher icon,
Thanks Bill. I just read from page 37 on. How is Logos currently working for you today? Are there any pros or cons to using logos the way you are? I'm eying a Lenovo C630 Chromebook with 8GB of RAM and an 8th gen i5 (I think the Pixelbook was only the 7th gen) so I'm hoping the specs are enough. Could you update on how

Zachary, Since you love chromebooks, you may be interested in learning that using the feature that allows you to install Linux apps may allow you to install Logos into that environment within ChromeOS using Wine. There’s a thread about Linux development here: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/121.aspx . It’s a long thread I recommend

Steven, there's a l engthy thread here that chronicles getting Logos installed in Ubuntu derivatives through wine. I have linked to the last page. I suggest working backward from the last page instead of from the beginning.
