Great help - Thank You very much. I do have HALOT and will dig into it. And you are right, I do not know Hebrew. So far it looks like I have to identify each location of YOM and research the verse to see if it means 24 hours or something longer. Lots of work if there are over 1000 locations. I was hoping to whittle the task down substantially. Again

Thanks so much for the explanations. Any suggestions on what these marks are and which ones change the meaning of the word? If I want to find all the places in the OT with the same manuscript yom as Gen 1:5 do I ignore the marks or use some of the matched terms. The number of verses vary a lot: Search Term Number verses Verses in Base but not in Matched

  • Significant change in search results after update

Before the update, I searched for the manuscript form of Yom from Gen 1:5 in the NASB95 Old Testament and got 495 hits. After the update, the same search got 1,399 hits. It seems that the search is returning hits like יּ֖וֹם and where י֔וֹם is in a word - likeכָּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃. What's up with this?? It seems like the search before the update was more correct

  • Re: Search for Yom (Gen 1:5 manuscript) ANDNOT day

I was finally able to enter the criteria with the LTR and RTL text as follows: hebrew:י֔וֹם NOTEQUALS day It worked. Every other approach did not. Weird - I wonder if this is a bug?

I copied the י֔וֹם from right clicking day in a verse, selecting manuscript and then copy. Pasted this into the search. Even typing the English first with a leading space, when I paste י֔וֹם at the beginning, it goes to the end. I put the whole criteria into word, copied it, pasted into search and it put the י֔וֹם at the end!!! This really does seam

  • Search for Yom (Gen 1:5 manuscript) ANDNOT day

I am having a difficult time entering the search criteria with a mixture of Hebrew and English. I want to search for י֣וֹם ANDNOT day. Even if I copy the full criteria and past into Search, it shows י֣וֹם at the end like: ANDNOT day י֣וֹם This provides a result (35 verses) that seems like it might be right, but I would like to confirm. Is the search

YOU ARE PRECISELY CORRECT! I will have to figure out how I did that (get on the beta channel) and put my wife on it. Thanks! Brad

hmmm... I have been using the collapse/expand on the library for a month or so. See the screenshot below from my mac book pro - the other screen shots were from my wife's iMac.

Another weird behavior, as I roll over the bar it shows the resource above it (as in the clip) or below it (if I move my cursor through that resource first).

Here it is. The gray bars used to have an arrow to roll them up!

  • Roll-ups on Library missing

This just appeared. The roll-up bars for "type" in the library are there, but no arrow and it doesn't roll up when clicked. Is this a bug or some setting that I missed? Brad
