• Re: Dynamic pricing question

I spoke with someone at Logos and I was told if I bought AYBC and within 6 months bought Lutheran Portfolio, All the money I paid for AYBC would go towards the upgrade. After 6 months it will be dynamic pricing.

  • Dynamic pricing question

So I don't see any dynamic pricing posts that are current enough to add to. I was curious if you purchase something like AYBC for example. If you but AYBC with a base package, it is $1499.00 currently. Normally $2099.00. So if you buy a base package like Lutheran portfolio or collector's. How will the dynamic pricing work down the road? First off, Will

  • Re: I bought Collector's first...

Most of the people I know complain because Logos costs money. They would rather use Studylite or whatever is cheaper... I have been in those shoes before, and there is a happy middle between thinking that "Anything Christian/ministry should be free", and "Overcharging just because you can". I really struggle with some Authors prices, I will be honest

and actually it may be more that $440, If you read the whole sentence on the website it says as long as you buy a base package, you get $10 per "every" $110 you "spend". so could be more...
You could see what the program can do with the libraries that you already have. The following training videos and courses are already in your library, if you haven't watched them yet: The QuickStart videos are a good place to start to introduce you to different parts of the Logos 7 program.
Since you already have Collectors', have you tried reading a few pages of ICC etc to see if you can imagine yourself studying with those kinds of tools on a weekly basis?
sorry I never answered this, I was completely overwhelmed with collectors and really wasn't able time wise (before July 19) to really do hardly

so I went with the 3 base packages deal and added Nicot/nicnt, application commentary bundle, TDOT (on sale with base package), a few additional bibles, esv notes, factbook expansion, parallel passage expansion, extended feature set, HALOT... I think that is all... Should get a $440 credit/coupon back. Thinking maybe adding WBC or NIB with that money
Glad you were able to settle on something that fit for you.
well I haven't fully settled, but I think this is good... I am sure a few of you still think that this is overboard. I am willing to go a little overboard, but I think you guys were correct that I am maxed out with collectors and wouldn't be able to afford to add

  • Re: Extra savings on Logos 7 libraries through 7/19

I am pretty sure what they mean by extra savings, is that when you buy a Logos 7 package (assuming you are coming from Logos 6) you don't have to pay for the feature sets. So it appears to be extra savings but it is kind of a the foundation of what Logos Now is... It is like saying anyone that has City water, gets water at no additional cost this month

I got the Price for Standard Platinum, adding Methodist Gold, Baptist Platinum, and NICOT/NICNT... $5900ish. plus I will get $460ish in credit/coupon... may acutually just wait and use that towards NICOT/NICNT since it doesn't add to the $10 per $100.... but obviously before the sale ends... So I would be at $5440ish for what would be in my view a nice
There's not really any future-proofing. The base packages change for each new version, so, for example, L8 Collectors would have resources that L7 Collectors didn't.
When I say future proofing, I mean having AYBC, ICC, TDOT, Eerdmans 309 etc. or any other resource that Collectors has that would be nice to have
Methodist Gold is good because it has the Interpretation series, which is very accessible and good quality scholarship. Good for preachers and teachers. Now I'm excited to know what you end up choosing (living vicariously through you). Plus the Methodist packages have a lot of overlap with the standard packages so you should get

So considering I was considering (temporarily) to go with Collectors, anything under $5k seems great to me... One thing I just looked at was getting: Platinum, and then adding Platinum Baptist, and Platinum Methodist. That is looking like a good package to me. We will see tomorrow when I ask my sales rep at Logos. I will let you all know.
I just looked into Galatians 5 and found much useful material in AYBC and Hermeneia but virtually none in Tyndale but that is me. Were price not a concern and I had to choose between the three Hermeneia would likely be my choice, but Tyndale would definitely hit last place for me. -dan
Dan the Man likes Hermeneia

Spurgeon, Josephus, NIV College Press, and founders journals are not in Baptist Gold either... Those seem cool to me, maybe worth it if the price isn't too bad

  • Re: I bought Collector's first...

Yeah it is $540 more and that is a good deal for Hermeneia in my opinion considering the cost of it. Also Like Kiyah said, it does come with some other cool stuff... now as far as Baptist Gold vs Baptist Platinum I may look into that more. NAC, College press, and Holman commentary was a few that had my attention.
