  • Re: El Capitan beta Can't open Logos 6

I just wish I would have seen the warning BEFORE installing! First time I've been bit by the beta bug!

  • El Capitan beta Can't open Logos 6

Obviously didn't check before I installed to see if it was compatible. I assumed Yosemite and El Cap were probably close enough in versions that it would be no trouble. That said, now I can't get Logos 6 to open. Anyone have an idea when we might see a Logos version that will open on El Cap? Or am I just better off reinstalling Yosemite?

  • Clause Search Frustrations

Is anyone able to actually use Clause Search? Maybe I am doing something wrong but I can't ever seem to get any results from it. For example... I just tried, "subject:know person:Jesus" nothing. I don't get it... I can't ever seem to get a clause search to give me anything.

  • Re: Passage guide weirdness

Any chance this is related to my other problem of Logos asking me to install the Command Line Developer Tools when I updated to Logos 5.2 this morning?

  • Passage guide weirdness

I am having another issue since the update... In my passage guide it is not listing all of my commentaries anymore... the "more" button is gone. I have tried this several times. However, if I change it to Eph 3:8-12 everything pops up normally... Any ideas?

  • Install Command Line Developer Tools to update?

When upgrading to 5.2 from 5.1ect.. a notice came up I've never seen before. Asking me to download (xcode) and saying "ILDB required Command Line Developer Tools to be installed" Any reason why I would have this come up? I chose not to install XCODE as I don't want it on the system unless I need it?

  • BUG with 5.1b SR-1, Indexing every time program opens...

Mac running OS 10.8.5 I am having an issue I have never had until installing this latest release... 5.1b-SR-1. After installing the newest service release (as prompted within the program to do so) Logos restarted and as expected (been using logos since before version 3 - so I've been through the whole indexing routine of version 4 and now 5) it said

  • Re: Missing options in Exegetical Guide

Ok... found the options I thought I was missing. My bad. Has this changed or am I loosing my marbles? It's now to the right of the "Word by Word" section within Exegetical Guide.

  • Missing options in Exegetical Guide

Hello, why am I suddenly missing all of the options within the Exegetical Guide? I cannot choose which parts of speech to show anymore. Is this a bug or a change to the system? All of the options used to be to the right of the passage box. Am I missing something?

  • High CPU Usage

Lately I've been having an issue with Logos 4 and CPU usage... when I launch the application the CPU (in the activity monitor) pegs at 100%, this to me is expected... however... it remains at or near 100% CPU usage for 10+ minutes fairly consistently. This is without loading anything up. But it also does it after I have loaded a layout... the layout

I can also confirm this bug. Took me a minute to figure out how to get out of it.

  • Can't delete a layout

I am having an issue where I cannot delete a previously created layout. I right click on it and choose "delete" and it thinks for a second and does nothing. I close the program to see if the changes "took" and they do not.

Maybe I am totally wrong on this... I hope I am. But I am asking anyway... Is there any chance that the problem we are all seeing here is that the underlying code of L4 is windows specific and thus L4 will never truly be optimized to run on the Mac? If I am understanding correctly, I thought L4 was a Windows product with a Mac UI.. and that the Mac

Unfortunately, it's back to the Windows version (bleck!) until the guide scrolling issue is resolved. It's just too slow to use it as is right now. But otherwise the beta 8 seems to be almost there. Great work Mac team!

Exegetical Guide is painful. That's the main area where I am affected by the erratic scrolling issues. It just slows my studying down to a crawl.

Scrolling is by far the slowest thing.... it's very very slow and it's actually really inconsistent... it goes from almost not moving at all to hyper scrolling past everything. Really difficult to navigate.

Nope, not currently behind a proxy. I am however, running L4 from my MacBook Pro so I may have been behind a proxy server at some point or another. But not one I knew about. :)

I too am experiencing general sluggishness... I just assumed this was part of what was being worked out in the beta stage but perhaps I have something configured incorrectly. Spinning beach balls all the time for even the simplest tasks. Logs are attached. Thank you. 48476.Archive.zip
