Hi, I am a regular Logos user on my iPad and often want to simply learn more about a person or place as part of my study. Like is often the case with Logos I get a little overwhelmed at the results when I search a name/place. Can someone recommend a resource and/or technique to get a quick summary of the person/place? Thanks, Tom

Thank you. I just downloaded Logos on my new PC. I will use that for serious study. I use my iPad for work so it is with me all the time and hence my desire to maximize it's use. Best, Tom

Thank you. I have the NASB and the MacArthur NASB Study bible and that combo, linked on my iPad, answers a lot of my questions. Specifically I find the MacSB is really good at explaining the passages (which I assume it was designed to do) it does not seem to provide the the additional context I need. I am going to try two things: 1) Make sure I have

Hi, I lead a small group and have been using logos on my iPad as my reference during our group meetings for several years. My issue is that when I am asked simple questions - Who is Solomon and what did he do? Where is that place located on a map? Is this the only time he is mentioned in bible? Is this person retaliated to that person? Etc - I get lost
I would actually guess that P&C and Methodist/Wesleyan may be lower than Mark thinks because they have fewer offerings for customers to choose between.
Maybe 1 or 2, but I think they are probably pretty close to that. Even though they have less products, they are much higher in the charts than others like SDA that
That's mostly because P&C only goes up to Gold. To do a fair comparison, you'd have to add in the Platinum and Portfolio sales from the other traditions.
I know, which is why I added Gold and didn't just say that P&C was the best selling tradition. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment about what most P&Cers
User observation is Logos.com can sort Base Packages by Bestselling
Well, that can't be right. P&C Gold is the top selling tradition after Standard packages and that's without the Fire Bible. (At least that's what shows when I click the link.)

As a poor graduate student, I cannot thank you enough!
I just meant that you can see them in the store. If there's a labeling in our libraries after they are downloaded, I'm not aware of it. The fact is some of the material that is put into the P/C grouping is also in other tradition groupings (like Wesleyan, for instance).
Ok. Thanks. And yes, I agree though sometimes
A lot of resources are being labeled Pentecostal when they should be labeled Charismatic
Wait. There's a way to see the labels for them? In the store or in Logos? I don't know of any way to identify the traditions within Logos. Within the store, I know I can click on Pentecostal/Charismatic, but is there a way to

I don't know about next month, but the now-members page is still active.
Hi all, Where do I find the coupon codes for the M.Ed and ebooks (Classics and Originals) that's part of my FLC subscription? Peter
You can find them here: https://connect.faithlife.com/get-started
Doing something like this might put subscriptions over the threshold where FL would be sitting on a nice revenue stream while incentivizing purchases at the same time. Anything purchased above and beyond the credits would be a win for FL in my opinion.
I hope they hear you on this. My biggest concern is that the
Hopefully Faithlife hears and understands what you have written. I completely agree!
Agree. Especially with the low price point of the FC (or is it FLC?) , the market could really expand if certain components of the program were more apparent. However, considering the amount of capabilities, I am not entirely sure

I second you, Gary. Unlike you, I am very new to Logos. I love the software, but have been frustrated by the lack of theological resources within the Pentecostal side as I started digging into what I will one day buy. I do appreciate books by Amos Yong, though I wish there was more of his. (I am saving up to buy the books.) But lacking something as
The books just aren't paying the bills. And if subscription models don't work (1.5% income generation isn't helpful, and based off of this thread, that number might not change much with the new collection of subscriptions), then other sources of revenue need to be explored.
Which was the point of my previous comment
Thats just the cost of digital.
No, it isn't. There are other companies besides VMWare and Adobe. There are successful companies that provide free products: GitLab, Nextcloud, Owncloud, RedHat (provides Fedora), Cannonical (provides Ubuntu), FreeNAS, Valve (provides Steam), and numerous browsers. Yes, historically you
My suggestion is to make the whole set-up similar to what works in the computer industry, to make it easy for the customer to understand and get sucked into, and to provide a consistent source of revenue so Logos can continue developing great software.
What works in the computer industry is selling support to enterprises

They need to either separate the FC and Logos libraries so completely that they share next to no resources
I'd expect that would create a problem for new subscriber customers. Imagine if you didn't have access to the more useful books in your (Standard) library. How could a subscriber

In another thread, I pointed out that their subscription model discourages purchasing the Standard packages. If the packages of FC and Logos Standard remain at a 1-to-1 ratio, then no one is encouraged to purchase a larger Standard library, since nothing changes after they purchase the larger set other than licensing. They are still paying through FC
