I ended up reading the two chapters myself due to technical difficulties not associated with FaithLife. But the word-by-word indicator is off so that's not the problem. Rob

I thought I'd do something different in Adult Bible Study class this morning and use the ESV Read-Aloud feature (with David Cochrain Heath) for our portion of scripture, Judges 4 and 5. As I tried it, I'm distracted by the "bouncing ball" text indictor which is usually only present for the start of the verse; it becomes particularly annoying between

This should help the Robert Schuller Sermon Collection in Community Pricing.

And a related question, it was my understanding that Dr. Moo's Mobile Education on Romans's was keyed to the first edition. There was talk about updating it to the second edition. Someday I'd like to purchase the Mobile Ed course. Is it still keyed to the first or will I need to purchase the updated second edition?

Hummm, I've never seen that "View Results" option til now. I was wondering how people got to see the statistics without re-voting.

I don't want to be a pig and won't crow or cackle about it, but I'm hoping Moo finishes well.

...noticed the UBS5 is tagged as an "English Bible"

Similar problems myself. After a hard shut down and restart and restarting Logos 6 twice I finally got things running. Rob

If you eliminate those who purchased the previous program there will be fewer people ordering this pre-pub. The ones left that order will be 1) new users of Logos and 2) those who didn't want to order it last time. Just a hunch but this item may languish in pre-pub for a while.

No, as I understand it, only the first volume of the 'Methods Series' (Textual Criticism of the Bible) was included in the Logos 6 package upgrade. The others will still have to be purchased.

Yeah, I'm curious too! I purchased Jacob, Jacob: Discerning God's' Presence more than a year ago and bid for the for the whole curriculum - will there be a discount? In a related issue, will those of us that have the first volume of the Lexham Method's Series still pay the full bid price on Community Pricing? (in my opinion, I'd be willing to pay it

He's come out with quite a few books, one of his recent ones, The Lost World of Scripture: Ancient Literary Culture and Biblical Authority parallels his teaching in Moblie Ed so well that I can hear his voice as I read it. More of his books would complement Faithlife! ...and I just loved his his character in television series 'The Waltons"

Early today it was in German

I've joined with many here in reading Calvin's Institutes both in Battle's and Beveridge's translation. I was a bit irritated when I noted that Beveridge's translation did not have page numbers - had to look them up in my dead-tree edition. Rob

I noticed the author's name is wrong on the ad. Herbert Ryle is the author of this month's book, The Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges, The book of Genesis .. Kurt Strassner was the author of December's offering of Opening up Genesis .

As a theologian Walton by default is a creationist but he's not a 24/7-day creationist. He presents the "text in its context" or in other words, how the early Hebrew listeners would have listened and understood it in its ancient context. A 'young-earth' creationist might find it more difficult but would still learn something worthwhile watching this

I don't like the ornate prolonged animation in the example. It's way too distracting. A simpler form of it with a purpose might work for me.

And Merry Christmas from sunny Caribou, Maine (visiting the grandkids).

Unit 1: Gospels: Chronology, Canonicity and Text, the Gospel of Mark This section appears to have a corrupted video file in my library- it freezes for about 15 seconds before picking up mid-sentence.
