Yes, it's a Windows notebook - less than $100, thought it would be a good starter for a 9 year old. I liked the size (and the price) and wondered if I could load only some of the program for bringing to church. My eyes are too old for anything smaller than its 11" screen. I guess I'll keep bringing my bible.

I got a good deal on a small notebook for my grandson today, then thought perhaps I'd get another one for myself to dedicate to Logos. But there's only 16 GB available, my library is 18+ Is there any way to download only part of the library I own? I'd still like the online capabilities of Logos 6.

I had a two of the commentaries already so I knew what to expect. I jumped at the price and purchased it this morning. We're studying through Joshua (ch. 10) this week and I've already changed the focus of Sunday's presentation based upon the commentary. There are some nuggets in it that are presented clearly and concisely that were not as apparent

I work in the healthcare field with electronic medical records (EMR). We just had a major upgrade to our system that paralleled the release of Logos 6. I keep telling my co-workers about FaithLife/Logos and the amazing functionality of their software. By comparison medical record software is still in the stone age. Good work!

I received the second volume the Schocken Bible this week in dead tree format. The book is beautifully bound, beige with a gold imprinted title and single blue ribbon book mark. It is a wonderfully readable text that faithfully and uniquely conveys the Hebrew Scriptures in a way that emphasizes “their aural quality” – how it was heard by listeners.

Sadly languishing on Pre Pub at a measly $8: The Old and New Testament Manuscripts in the Freer Collection (2 vols.) Available now, Lexham Methods Series (Volume 1) Textual Criticism by Wendy Widder and Douglas Mangum,....but the whole series is stuck on pre-pub at $60

Yesterday morning I upgraded from Gold 5 Standard to Platinum 6 Standard (and added Tyndale Commentaries). I was surprised how quickly the upgrade downloaded and indexed, even with my technically 'old' computer. I was able to use the 'Before and After' feature of the city of Jericho this morning in the Adult Class I taught this morning on Joshua 6.

The program is stuck with 666MB left to download. It's either a evil sign of things to come or a clever advertising trick.
-
Well that is quite the gem in this collection! I didn't even look at this collection before you mentioned it. I'm in!

IMO, this "set" needs to be broken up into small bites... then it would move.

The chiasm of books has been broken up. Dorsey's book, The Literary Structure of the Old Testament: A Commentary on Genesis–Malachi is now available individually.

I'm very happy with Walton's OT genre course. Many of the others are so pricey I find it hard to justify the purchase. And they still haven't included a recommended reading list for the recourses that go with each of them. - that's an additional cost that can't be calculated until after we have the product.

Logosis and bibliotosis are two closely related conditions associated with prolonged, uninterrupted use of the program. Symptoms can include wrist, finger and neck discomfort, as well as pain in the lower back, If it is ignored, phlebitis has been known to occur. It is recommend to stand, walk and stretch every half hour or so. Continued use has been

I've been going over them again while on vacation. It sure would be really nice. I feel like a paid a premium price for a temporary product. Rob

How much is enough? “Just a little bit more.” John D. Rockefeller

So are these products static? Or will there be links added to them as products are added to Logos? I recently purchased the New Interpreters Bible Dictionary forgoing the older Anchor Bible Dictionary. Will we begin to see new links to this and other products in the Lexham Bible Guides ?

The program curiously spells some words rather than pronounces them at times. For example check the word "die" in Genesis 3:4 Rob

There are quite a few "moe"'s in the Paragraph bible, but no "curly" "larry" or "shemp". I believe that's the way it was originally printed. It is printed as "moe" in the 1611 KJV
-
It doesn't seemed to have helped when they did that with the 4-volume Lexham Methods Series
